Fanfic Challenge

The Uchiha Clan Massacre never happened. Before Danzo is able to convince Itachi that slaughtering his clan is the only way to protect Konoha from a civil war, Hiruzen Sarutobi is able to find a more 'peaceful' way to deal with the situation. The Third Hokage knew of the coup d'etat planned by the Uchiha Clan because of Itachi, and manages to leak the information to Kumogakure and Iwagakure.

Hiruzen then brought Fugaku to his office and showed the Uchiha clan head the reports of Kumo and Iwa preparing for war. Hiruzen explains that both villages were planning to invade Konoha if Fugaku led his clan against the village and it didn't matter which side of the village won the civil war as the winner would not be able handle an invasion from the other two great hidden shinobi villages. Realizing the position he was in, Fugaku agreed that his clan would back down.

After the meeting between the Uchiha clan head and the Hokage, the animosity between the Uchiha clan and the rest of the village grew drastically; to the point where some Uchiha clan members refused to work with other shinobi unless it was from their own clan. The other villagers and clans don't understand why the hate of the Uchiha clan grew as only the Hokage, Danzo, Homura and Koharu know of the coup d'etat the Sharingan wielding clan had planned.

The betrayal of Itachi is recognized by his clan and he is 'banished' from his clan grounds. His father completely washed his hands of him. Itachi continues his role in Anbu and answers directly to the Hokage. After many years of service, Sarutobi believes that Itachi and new academy graduates would benefit if Itachi became a Jonin Commander. This is the same year that Naruto graduates. (*Note that Naruto still steals The Scroll of Seals and the night with Mizuki and Iruka still happens*) Itachi becomes Narutos' Jonin Commander, as well as Sakura and Kiba's. Kakashi replaces Kurenai as Jonin Commander of Team 8 as the Hokage felt that Kurenai wasn't ready yet to handle the role because she was a newly appointed Jonin. Kakashi is team leader of Sasuke, Hinata and Shino while Asuma still has the new Ino-Shika-Cho trio.

Fugaku is able to realize that the only way the Uchiha would gain some more respect and pull in the village was to have an Uchiha as Hokage and he begins to groom Sasuke for that role.

Suna's invasion of Konoha still happens with Orochimaru still the head of it disguised as the Kazekage. While the Uchiha clan still have major issues with Konoha, they would prefer not to see their village torn apart and they fight with Konoha. Hiruzen does not survive the invasion even though Itachi helped him with his fight against Orochimaru. Orochimaru still lives but his arms don't function after the fight, similar to the ending of the fight in the Manga/Anime.

(*Note that Shisui Uchiha still dies and Danzo manages to get one of his eyes while Shisui gives his other eye to Itachi. But because the Uchiha clan massacre never happened, Danzo no longer has an arm with implanted Sharingan eyes*)

It was my friends ranting about Sage Mode at my high school lunch table that got me into Naruto and manga. I prefer to read Manga than watch Anime but in my own personal opinion the Anime Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood was far superior to the Manga. After I caught up on Naruto my friend suggested this site and since last year I have been addicted like heroin addict to reading fanfiction.

I have read many fanfiction on this site and not planning stopping anytime soon. Although if you haven't noticed I have started to write my own. My head finally overload with so many fucking ideas that I had to finally write them down... and a lot of them were complete and utter shit! Finally I decided on one idea which I have since been working on.

I'm not the greatest writer and I know I never will be. I try my best to have a wide vocabulary to help my chances of sounding more sophisticated than a third grade child. It normally back fires. But I do not give up! I continue to extend my knowledge and I always appreciate those who help me with some advice here and there. Whether the notes are about my grammar or they are suggestions about the plot of my fanfic of fanfics (If I ever write more), then message away! The third chapter in Black Armor was created because someone suggested the idea to me.

On another note, I fucking hate the Sharingan! Actually I hate Dojutsu in general! Except for the Byakugan... that one is actually decent. I read so many fanfics with Naruto possessing the Sharigan or Rinnengan that he just becomes an overpowered asshole. Cause that's what those bloodlines are, overpowered. If I had to give Naruto a bloodline, I would have to agree with one of my friends and give him Shikotsumyaku (Dead Bone Pulse). Using your bones as weapons and instantly having the ability to grow them back at ridiculous speeds? Couple that with wind release, which Naruto has, you basically have one of the deadliest fighters in existence!

Sorry for the ranting but another issue is no one in the Naruto series is actually stealthy or tries to trick their fucking opponents, except for Shikamaru, which is why I like him as a character so much. He basically never shows his opponents what he is capable of and by the end of the fight I'm surprised they don't fall to the ground in a childish tantrum from the way they were defeated so easily. The whole series is who has the most powerful Jutsu, basically who has the bigger cock match. That's what the war Fourth Shinobi War is right now.

Other thoughts that aren't Naruto related, I have to say Darren Aronofsky is by far my favorite Director of all time. My future career choice is to go into the film industry and write and direct and Darren as been an amazing influence for many of my works. I have always enjoyed dark movies with sad endings and Requiem for a Dream definitely delivered that.

I suggest you go see Requiem for a Dream right now if you haven't. I mean right now. GO! RIGHT NOW! It is the one movie you'll love but will never want to watch again.

Also the classic Clockwork Orange is just a disturbing movie that is actually so revolting that it takes away from the message it's trying to conceive.

If you ask me what my favorite sports team is, I say to you now that I have none. I would rather get off my lazy ass and go outside and play a sport instead of watching it. Especially golf... To those of you who watch golf, I pity you and believe that if you get excitement out of watching a guy/girl hit a ball and walk for 30 minutes before hitting it again, your porn must be watching paint dry.

Playing golf is different though. Golf is an amazing sport when you play it yourself and screw anyone who thinks differently!

Also to anyone who has a fanfic and just suddenly stops updating because they grow tired of it and never says they aren't continuing, I want to kick you in the side of the head, repeatedly.

I have certain ideas for what a fanfiction should be and they can be described perfectly well by Kenchi618's Rules of Naruto Fanfiction.

Kenchi618's Rules of Naruto Fanfiction

1. Naruto must know some kind of replication technique, preferably the tried and true Kage Bunshin technique. Why you ask? Because it wouldn't be Naruto without three dozen blonde kids running amok on a regular basis.

2. Being a smart-ass is recommended. He doesn't necessarily have to be smart, but his mouth should be. Naruto, in essence, is a hot-head with no tact that shoots his mouth off and pisses off the wrong people, invariably drawing them into his world, for better or for worse. Since the story will probably revolve around him ANYWAY, you might as well make it so that what he has to say is hella entertaining, it makes the whole experience much better.

3. He must have some kind of weakness, even in the super-fics. Who wants to see good things happen all the time? If nothing but good things go on, then the good will become watered down and not very significant at all. He needs to be able to be beaten somehow, someway there has to be something about him that enemies can take advantage of. Naruto's the underdog, that's his appeal and that is why he is beloved. Haven't you people ever seen Rudy!?

4. Pissing off your readers is a double-edged sword. If it's a damn good cliffhanger, or something that sets up an antagonist for future comeuppance then great, fire away! As long as the pay-off is well worth it then that is what the creative process is all about. However, if you just delight in butchering whatever integrity the original storyline had and the amount of flames you get is equal to 1/4 of your entire review count then there is something seriously wrong.

5. NO FREAKIN' YAOI!! None! Now I'm not homophobic, I'm actually very chill with gay people, one of the coolest guys I know is gay, to each their own I always say. But I will not fucking read anything that even has the possibility of dude-on-dude action, fuck that shit, I have enough nightmares. Now since I'm a dude, yuri, maybe, but don't go overboard with it. Remember: Just because you can do something doesn't mean you should, and just because you should do something doesn't mean you will. It also doesn't help that a large bulk of them have shit for grammar, spelling, and just being overall basically decent stories in general. The yaio aspect in my respects can be overlooked if the story is good and it is not the central focus and entire point of the story... however that is pretty much never the case.

6. Do unto others as you would have others do unto you. If you want reviews then fucking review on the stories of others. If you like a story, tell the writer what you like. If you don't like it, tell them what you don't like or you think could be improved. It's common courtesy damn it! A decent review takes one minute max, because you have an well thought out opinion by the time you finish reading, so share the love.

7. Grammar and punctuation are actually very fucking important. If I read a story that I could've written better in the third grade then that is a problem. It really takes away from the story, it truly does. You can have a kick-ass premise and a great plot all set out, if you type a like second grade remedial english student then I won't read it damn it. Come on! You go through thirteen years of public school and learn how to write properly for a reason, because shitty writing pisses people off! No text writing either. Slang is okay, as long it is coherent and most know what the fuck you just wrote then by all means go forth. Even good grammar and spelling in your story summary can be the difference between hits and reviews, trust me.

8. Bashing is okay... to an extent. If the entire point of your story is to just shit all over certain characters and make another look like God's gift to the world then you can do that, but you won't be getting many thumbs up for your masterful storytelling. Be justifiable and flexible on your bashing, because just like in real life, things can change easily.

9. Listen to the people. Yes, it is your story, that's cool. And in the end whatever happens is up to you. I'm not saying let them plan out the plot or anything, although if you're lazy then go for it. I'm saying that if enough people say something, like a certain thing sucks, or they talk about something that you didn't or can't explain, address it and/or try to fix it. If you are anything like me then reader response is like crack, showing you don't care is basically saying 'fuck this story' and that will not end well.

10. OC's are not God! OC's cannot do everything! They can fix stuff, yes! They can train people up, yes! They can be potential pairings, again, yes! But OC's cannot fix everything. If the fucking Hokage can't make Naruto's life much better then how can some random guy from Jack-fuckistan come in one day and fix everything? He can improve on things, like Naruto's skill level, and his relationships with people, even his intelligence and standard of living, but a full-on upswing is IMPOSSIBLE for one person... That was more of a rant than anything...

11. Have extensive knowledge about the subject you are writing on. It really helps the quality of your work if you know what the hell you're writing about in the first place. For example, don't attempt crossovers if you don't have equal knowledge of all elements being used for the story. Either know what's going on, or have one hell of a reference tool at your disposal... as a matter of fact, you should have that at hand regardless because people tend to forget/overlook shit.
