Hey!

Well I'm Rach and live in bonnie Glasgow and im absolutely addicted to fanfiction. I've been reading it for ages and just recently decided that i'd have a go at writing. I mostly have ideas for Harry Potter but I think i might expand into the Alex Rider series, Greys Anatomy and A Great and Terrible beauty. I'm a performer at heart and I'm currently studying Musical Theatre so I've always got loads of shows and stuff on but i'll try and make my updates quite regular! Anyways thats about it! It would be nice if you could read and review my ficts but as a writer/reader I know how lazy we can be with reviews!

Visiting Hour

The hospital smell

combs my nostrils

as they go bobbing along

green and yellow corridors

What seems a corpse

is trundled into a lift and vanishes

heavenward

I will not feel, I will not

feel, until

i have to.

Nurses wlak lightly, swiftly

here and up and down and there,

thier slender waists miraculously

carrying their burden

of so much pain, so

many deaths, their eyes

still clear after so many farewells.

Ward 7. she lies

in a white cave of forgetfulness

a withered hand

trembles on its stalk. Eyes move

behind eyelids too heavy

to raise. Into an arm wasted

of colour a glass fang is fixed,

not guzzling but giving.

And between her and me

distance shrinks till there is none left

but the distance of pain that neither she nor I can cross.

She smiles a little at this

black figure in her white cave

who clumsily rises

in the round swimming waves of a bell

and dizzily goes off, growing fainter,

not smaller, leaving behind only

books that will not be read

and fruitless fruits.

For May Henderson. No I've not given up the stage but for you I'm still writing. Just as you taught me and just as you said I should; trashy, fully of innuendo and with my whole heart. Wee Hendo you are missed and even after a year not forgotten.
