I've been having a lot of trouble progressing on my own stories lately, so I figured a good way to solve that might be to create stories within established fictions. I can't say for how long I will write these stories. I suppose if it helps cure my writers block, I'll be here as long as new ideas keep coming. My favorite genres to write in are science fiction and fantasy, particularly urban-fantasy (such as Lukyanenko's Night Watch). I like to add noir concepts and tragic characters to a genre that typically focuses more on epic conflicts than internal ones. My greatest literary influence is Phillip K. Dick and I only hope I can create one ounce of the reality-bending fiction he mastered. My fanfiction stories are likely to center around two gaming franchises: The Elder Scrolls and Sonic the Hedgehog. I love Bethesda's Elder Scrolls lore for its darkly surreal mythology, gritty political landscape and focus on common men making a difference in the world instead of kings and wealthy nobles. As for Sonic, I know that sounds like an odd choice for sci-fi noir, but Sonic the Hedgehog was truly gaming's first anarchist, and if you take a close look at the first few Genesis games, you notice that Yuji Naka was creating clever manifestations of pure scientism (Robotnik), corporate control (roboticization), anarchy (Sonic), and the conflict between man and the natural world.
