This story follows the books but with a twist. Mags had a daughter. She too had been thrown into the Hunger Games and emerged a victor, and it was she that volunteered for Annie that day. She wasn't going to allow her mother to do it, and she certainly wasn't going to watch Annie go back to that place again.
