My name is Tim Duffy and I am the Creator and Patent filer for The Tru Body Fat Calculator. As a former competitive Body Builder I was frustrated with the difficulty in obtaining an accurate Body Fat measurement. As most of you already know, Body Fat scales and Calipers can be wildly inaccurate and hydrostatic weighing tanks are not readily available. I spent years looking for a better, simpler, cheaper way to get an accurate assessment. I was amazed to find that there was a mathematic formula that was incredibly accurate in determining a person’s Body Fat. I used the international resources at my disposal as President of Siegel’s Corporate Gifts to develop a portable calculator that could execute the calculation accurately at a reasonable cost. I developed a working prototype of the Tru Body Fat Calculator in the summer of 2010 and filed for a patent. Our testing shows the product to be accurate to within 1%!
