I live out here is South Africa like Trevor Noah, one of the best comedians we've produced. And no, we aren't starving down here. Some countries are starving don't get me wrong but for South Africa, we're fine at the moment.

Black. That is all one sees when they close their eyes. We're born from dust and will return to dust. We have two spirits living in each of us much like the old Indian teachings being of the wolves within. The first is the LightSpirit. The spirit which has the goodness and the good intentions inside it helping us to be what we are. But with the LightSpirit comes its equally demonic half. The BlackSpirit. This side of the spirit houses all things dark and cruel. An endless abyss of raw hatred and darkness. Few have challenged the BlackSpirit and survived. Those that defeat it gain it's power and are able to do anything with it, but should you fall by its hand, you will forever be trapped in a cage of torment, watching as your very soul gets ripped apart. So make sure you are fully prepared when you challenge the BlackSpirit.

TRUE STORY

A young boy was getting ready for a big race for the final seating arrangements for their top boat in Rowing. The 1st 8. He trained daily to the point where he was close to being hospitalised 4 times. His bones ached, his muscles threatened to rip from their place. But to him, the price had to be payed to make the boat. Asking God for some extra energy to help him in this final push he felt new energy surge through his body. New life was breathed through his lungs.

Getting ready in front stops (That's where you get to the very edge of your seat when you do a race). He waited for the flag to drop. His heart caught in his chest, his lungs on fire from the previous times he had to go up and down the lake of 500m. Sprints have really taken their toll on his body as the shaking become visible.

The flag dropped and they launched off from their lanes. But half way from the finish to the start. The other teams began to catch up. Using every last drop of energy he had left he began to push harder. But in the end, he lost his place in that top boat.

Angry beyond compare he got home and cursed God for what He did. Yelling and using his name in vain he swore that he'd never worship Him again. This carried on for three days. But God had other plans for him. Using one of his friends, he asked their coach to make another boat. A 4. That is a boat where there are four people in it but each use a single two handed blade (oar) to row.

Agreeing to it the coach gave him the list of people in the 2nd team. Picking 4 people in there with his friend being in one of those picked they put the boat on. The coach thought this 4 would never make it so he laughed when his friend walked off with the new team of rowers.

Come race day on the Saturday, they placed the boat on. No coach came to give them a pep talk. No form of support from their fellow rowers. They too thought the boat would fail and be disbanded. Getting up to the 2000m mark they got into their lane for their race. Watching the flag get raised and then drop, the boy pushed with all his might. But as the halfway mark came up he felt a hand on his shoulder.

Thinking it was nothing he pushed harder than ever. At the end of the race they found out they came first. When they docked they were showered with praise and words of congrats. Many of the people who thought the boat would lose actually beat a 1st 4 in a full on sprint from 2000m to the finish.

After getting their medals, the boy's friend came up to him and asked him if he felt anything different.

The boy replied that he did. It felt like there was someone with him.

His friend smiled and told him that God was there. He was there helping him to win that race. And that He wants him back.

Dropping to his knees, he cried out to God. He cried thanks and offered his soul back to God. The soul that turned as cold as ice and stone felt warm once more as God accepted him back.

God works through all our lives in ways we never thought possible. Should we ever feel that God has abandoned us, we mustn't get all angry and feel mad at God. Instead we should ask Him if that was where we should be. God will always want us in a place where we are happy. Give glory to Him who has risen on high. He who has taken His seat at the right hand of the Lord.
