After the Uprising, the whole Shadow World became divided. Between Shadowhunters and Downworlders has been going a war of domination and surviving. Magnus Bane the Magister of area Four is assigned with a mission of seducing a Shadowhunter, to get information about the possible attack. But what will happen when Magnus will fall in love with the object of his mission?

The "downworlders" go to one school, the "nephilim" go to another, and the students rarely mingle. But when the two schools merge, all hell breaks loose, and when Magnus and Alec meet, sparks fly. AU, AH. Mostly Malec but with hints of Sizzy, Clace and others. The Infernal devices characters are there but not as major characters.

Magnus is attractively arrogant. Alec is horrendously sick for two days, but he gets to be right for once, so it's worth it. "We should call it a holiday. 'The Day Alec Was Right and Magnus Was Wrong'."

Alec never believed in ghost stories. How wrong he was.

A mysterious letter at the front door, with no indication who might have sent it. And if Alec wants to find that person, he has to solve the puzzle laid-out for him...Alec/Magnus. AU.

Sequel to Payment. When Magnus told him "In nine or ten years, come find me and then we'll talk," he probably hadn't meant "Nearly get yourself killed by a Greater Demon so I have to heal you again." Alec was better at this when he was nine.
