Author has written 4 stories for Naruto, and Harry Potter.

Fanfiction Rule 1: If you follow a story, spend 30 seconds either thanking the author or explaining why you felt their story was interesting enough to follow. If you favorite a story, spend a minute or two to thank the author and explain why you enjoyed their story enough to encourage others to read it.

Feel free to copy and paste 'Fanfiction Rule 1' if you think seeing stories with 1,000 followers and 100 reviews feels incongruous.

My Thoughts on (fan)Fiction

The potential of new and different worlds inspires me. The history, detail and innovation that authors put into their worlds is often much more entertaining to delve into than any particular character that lives within that world. Learning how, in my mind, a particular character is formed within their society, their environs pushes me to extrapolate from their stories.

Thus you will find that, while I try to stay true to the world the gifted creators have formed, I will rarely follow into the 'canon' already set down. There is little in the philosophy, psychology and sociology that I can explore that would be more interesting than has already been written. I will not, however, try to change the 'canon' (when possible) as that is part of that world's history. It turns out that I generally disagree with a lot of canon when I investigate it. However, when I change canon I will try to write what happened and how it happened. Why I changed it within my stories is probably because I couldn't figure out how Event X fit within the framework provided. If you have a solution or are wondering how my change works let me know and I'll be happy to talk it over.

Many stories have formed in my head while walking, trying to think and even trying to work (although most often when I needed to sleep). Now I will attempt to portray what I have seen in my mind's eye onto paper. This is a difficult experience for me but hopefully I will grow from it and you will enjoy it!

What and Why I change things:

Naruto:

The title is 'Naruto' but to my mind the real title is "The Elemental Nations". 'Canon Naruto' looks at roughly 5 years in a single nation and a single progression of events. "The Elemental Nations" looks at dozens of nations rising and falling over four basic era's: Creation of Jutsu manipulation, the Six Paths Sage and the quick rise of civilization; the equally quick descent of civilization, fiefdoms and clan warfare; Founding of borders, creation of Ninja Villages and multiple world wars; and finally the uniting of the Elemental Nations under a single Shogun due to a common enemy.

All four eras are incredibly interesting as they present wildly different sociological backdrops and amazing potential for fanfiction. I would love to work with anyone wishing to explore the Elemental Nations!

Naruto's story is important as it takes place between the third and fourth eras and is how we were all originally introduced to "The Elemental Nations" but please remember it is one part of a whole.

Things I will likely change in all my Naruto stories if it comes up or annoy me when they come up in other stories without explanation...

Obito - I do not see any 15 year old defeating/stalemating the fourth Hokage after defeating a platoon of ANBU and releasing a high-level seal. Please, figure out another way to release the Kyuubi!

Naruto - Potential realized!...Right--No thanks. Canon Naruto by age 13 knew: Rasengan; Toad Summoning; Mass Shadow Clone; and Reinforced Shadow Henge. By age 16 he knew Rasenshuriken; Toad combo's; and Toad Sage-mode. Then he became godlike. You really want to tell me he never came close to realizing his potential? Take any other character, lets say... Neji--he's a genius! By age 14 he knew Eight Trigrams: 128 Palm and Revolving Heavens. By Age 17 he adds Eight Trigrams: Vacuum Palm and a few derivations. Naruto may not have gotten continuous training for years on end but he was taught by Jiraiya, Kakashi (once at a level of expertise Kakashi was able to interact with), Tenzou and the Toads--I have a feeling his personal training time was well beyond what an average or even elite Genin received.

Fear of Naruto as a Jinchuuriki - This is a completely justifiable action (which isn't to say how they react to that fear is justifiable). The Tailed Beasts were known to be corralled by Hashirama and doled out to various villages as both an offering of peace and a deterrent to war. A deterrent to war is only a deterrent as long as the enemy knows or believes it exists and can be used. Uzumaki Mito would have been highly suspected or known to be the Jinchuuriki of the Kyuubi. When Uzumake Mito died it would be logical that the Kyuubi had been passed on to Uzumaki Kushina. Again, with the presumption that a deterrent is only viable as long as the enemy believes it exists and can be used, the probability is that the Leaders of most Shinobi villages would already have this information along with a large percentage of Konoha Shinobi or that Konoha would 'accidently leak' the information during the Third War. Then the Kyuubi attacks. I don't care how good a Fuinjutsu expert Minato was reputed to be--If the Kyuubi escaped once from its Jinchuuriki it can do so again. The fear is justifiable! Figuring out how to deal with that fear is a good chapter or three (whether it's the Hokage explaining how the Kyuubi escaped--bad guys! Or the ninja that knows Naruto is a person that contains something that can kill you and everyone you know. Or a clueless civilian because either he, or the Hokage, is an idiot.)

Shadow Clone - Shadow Clone is designed for a single clone doing reconnaissance in dangerous situations and delivering the information straight to the user in a single burst--painful and quite distracting in combat but good at a safe distance. The basic Shadow Clone Jutsu simply doesn't work for offensive combat. If a Shadow Clone dispels upon being hit it stands to reason that it will also dispel when it hits something. If it dispels when it strikes an object with sufficient force it instantly loses its mass...without mass it isn't likely to do much damage. The dispersion of Chakra as it dispels can be channeled towards the point of impact--Clone Explosion. The Shadow Clones can work as a defensive or offensive distraction similar to the simpler Clone techniques. Be creative and branch into new ideas? And yes, I believe Multi Shadow Clone would harm even Naruto in excess--viable for limited training or combinations but not 'years in a single week'.

Stories completed

- White Moon

A young girl molds chakra to her will and find herself torn between two worlds. Is one of the worlds more real than the other? Can one or the worlds truly be called evil? Alternate Universe; Future; One shot.

An attempt to see things from a slightly different perspective. Not canon or my usual AU.

Stories in progress (at least in my mind if not on paper--If your twitchy fingers like one and you can't let go of it please ask first?)

- Ghost of Naruto, The E-Rank Ninja (Full variant from Canon! Only story that focuses on Naruto himself and thus will likely include many AU ideas)

Naruto receives both a Guardian and a potential family. The Sandaime assigns the eternal Genin Maruboshi Kosuke on permanent C-Rank as Naruto's bodyguard and guardian circa age four.

The Sandaime in essence doesn't have to keep expensive and elite Anbu guarding a four year-old (who is never actually 'attacked') while giving one of Konoha's most loyal servants a [safer] non-retirement. Regardless, Kosuke's knowledge of Jutsu is practically unlimited as he has worked with every Hokage and most of the elite Jounin at some point (even if he himself can't use all of them). He knows what to use and when to use it in order to be most affective (i.e. he's incredibly experienced--A Genin Ninja who regularly went on C and B rank missions into his 60's!)

Naruto should end up strong (but not overpowered) and balanced (instead of "ooo, super S-ranked Jutsu does what?"). The title refers both to Kosuke and Naruto.

Current Status - First four chapters complete; Chapter two final edits; Chapter five first draft.

- Written by the Victors

A self insert, Written by the Victors, looks at why I joined the Ninja world and how I interact with it. Washiiru Kensuke, born into a civilian family, joins the Ninja Academy and life moves forward. That is simply how life is...

Current Status - Prologue Written

- Melon Field Under a Plum Tree

Melon Field Under a Plum Tree is a two chapter look at an average (difficult) mission with an average (root) ninja. How can they accomplish their mission more effectively? What obstacles do they face?

This is neither plot driven or character development (although I hope to see both in the finished product). My goal is to show what might be happening behind the scenes when Soldier A goes on that A-Rank mission for two weeks. The other side of those tedious D-rank missions Soldier A's Genin are complaining of while sensei is away.

Current Status - 4,973 words (thinking it should be around 10,000 words).

- The Promise of Innocence

A five chapter look at Maito Gai's youth. Why does Gai deal with his demons in his own unique way--Obsession with youth, obsession with pushing himself.

Current Status - Chapter 1 complete--2,170 words. Chapter two, roughly 690 words so far.

- Snare and Deadfall, Team Nine

Rock Lee fails to graduate (really, if Naruto didn't graduate because he couldn't do ONE of the three Academy Jutsu than how would Rock Lee graduate?). Guy requests Rock Lee as an Apprentice.

Jounin Tekuno Kanden is appointed the squad leader of Team Nine, in charge of Neji Hyuuga, Tenten, and (Person of your choice). The fiction would likely revolve around Tenten's evolution due to Jounin Tekuno's particular skills but hey, whatever results from his teaching should be good. Adventure, Action, Light Drama that goes from Graduation to... Chunin Exams?

- Tides of War (Prequel to Will of Fire, Land of Waves)

Genin Team of Uzushiogakure before it's destruction (or does it vary from Canon?). As I delved into Will of Fire, Land of Waves history and backdrop, along with certain Jutsus, this is what emerged.

Current Status - Chapter 1 finished (2,000 words) and remainder of Arc one sketched...roughly 14-19 more chapters to go and an epilogue.

- Will of Fire, Land of Waves (Sequel to Tides of War)

Follows three children from Land of Waves following Gato's cruel greed caused on the island. I wanted to know what happened to Ageha and the Land of Waves after Team 7's mission ended.

Current Status - On hold as another story became its prequel...boo, this one was very interesting to me but Tides of War may prove even more interesting?

- Untitled (Mercedes Lackey Herald's of Valdemar)

A Tedrel slave is allowed to escape after a Hawkbrother raid on his keepers, eventually finding refuge in Haven. Gifted in thievery, deception and mind-magic; what happens when he is already serving one of the priestly houses and can't be chosen?

Current Status - Had some research on a previous computer... might be able to pull it up again (or not--sigh). On hold indefinitely.
