![]() Author has written 5 stories for Naruto, Harry Potter, and Katekyo Hitman Reborn!. Hey guys! I'm a noobie, so don't expect great literature. I will probably keep to stories about Naruto, but I'm lazy as fuck, so if you have requests for short drabbles, I will probably do them before my own long oneshots or stories. What can I say, Shikamaru is my favourite character for a reason. So that's about it. Also, my favourite pairing is NaruSasu, so if I ever go into romance that is probably what you guys are gonna get. You have been warned. Prompt/vague outline of a story for whoever wants to take it I've had this idea in my mind for a while now, but I don't have the time, talent or dedication to make it justice, so I am posting it here in hopes that someone likes it enough to write so I can read it. The idea came to me as a theory of how Naruto could be so similar to his mother in personality when we all know that personality is not genetically hereditary: she raised him. It's also my way of explaining why in all holy hell it is never mentioned who raised baby Naruto until he could look after himself. The thing would go as follows: the story of Naruto's birth is exactly like Kushina tells it on the manga, except that she tightens the chains instead of jumping with her husband in front of the Kyuubi's claw. Minato dies due to the Death Reaper Seal and Kushina survives, leaving her to care for the newborn jinchuuriki. Naruto grows up with his mom and acquianteced with the Uchiha (since Mikoto and Kushina are established to be good friends, and probably in an attempt of Kushina to clear the Uchiha of suspicion since she knew that whoever attacked her was alone and not acting in behalf of the Clan), but Kushina is killed by whatever foe strikes your fancy. My personal idea was Danzo so he could control Naruto or at least separate him from the Uchiha, but Tobito could have as much of a motivation, though in that case it would make more sense if he was after seven-year-old Naruto and she died protecting him. The important tidbit here would be that, as a result of his mother's death in front of him, Naruto loses his mind and starts leaking Kyuubi's chakra, so the Konoha ninja have to stop him from going in a rampage. To that end, Shisui kotoamatsukami's him into forgetting his mother. The Uchiha Massacre goes as in canon, but either Itachi or Shisui use their special eyes to make Sasuke forget about Naruto as well. I think we all know where I'm going with this: the events of canon can still happen the same way they did in the beggining, but now the groundwork for some major revelations has been laid. When Naruto and Sasuke discover what happened on their childhood (or hell, the fact that they had a shared childhood), their dynamics and relationship are bound to change. Obviously, my idea was to start the story as in canon, then have them discover the truth (preferably before Sasuke defects to Orochimaru), maybe with their memories slowly returning (or suddenly, via trauma courtesy of Zabuza), maybe because of a slip from Itachi when he confronts them, or a "slip"... There are lots of directions I can see this setup to go and I'm undecided (hence why I haven't written it myself), but to name a few: in a darker fic Naruto could join Orochimaru with Sasuke because he feels betrayed that the village covered up his mom's death; in a lighter fic Naruto and Sasuke could try to repair their bonds or they would understand each other better, making Sasuke turn down the Snake pedo's offer... Hell, you could even make it crack and have them go "screw it, the Village is fucked up, I'm not fighting for these psycopaths", and have them retire from ninja life to live together in a cabin in the woods. So. If you are interested or just want to chat about this plot bunnie of mine, PM me and I'll be happy to discuss it | |||||||
