something i've wondered about as i read through other peoples fanfiction. the name pervy sage. seriously, what the hell were the translators thinking. it just doesn't translate very well period. they should have just adapted the japglish like fanfiction authors do. i mean it sounds so unnatural hearing somebody be called pervy sage, even if it is meant in jest.

well, i finally got around to watching Indiana Jones Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, and i gotta say it's a pretty bad movie. nothing even remotely in the league of the previous movies. i mean hell, i could identify at least 3 scenes where the stunt double was clearly identifiable because of the hair.
and i gotta admit, the casting wasn't even remotely serious. it was more a comedy than anything else. lebouff was a bad choice, but the whole family aspect overall was just a horrible gimmick for comedy. the car fight in the jungle, i dunno what happened there but the background graphics were horrible. not to mention the fight coriography for lebouf and the russian chick...pathetic.
dunno what lucasarts was thinking in producing that kind of slop after such a successful franchise and fairly decent quality films.

i hate naruto and his sage mode. it's a pathetic attempt by the mangaka to even out the playing field between the supremely weak and unskilled naruto and the akatsuki and sasuke. not that it matters really. naruto stopped being any good at the start of shippuden. ever since then it's just become more useless word-trash.

seriously, naruto has absolutely no power on his own. he gets the healing, large chakra, stamina, etc all from kyuub, which allows him to just spam clones. how he is even able to use the rasengan is beyond me. according to everybody he has little if any true chakra control so how can he use the rasengan when it isn't even really a jutsu so much as purely controlled chakra.

it's something i noticed after i've read a couple of the longer running manga. after a while the authors jut put in all sorts of bullshit to make it run longer after they ran out of ideas.

i keep wondering why so many ranma fanfic authors keep locking ranma's curse or have him identify himself as a girl. personally, i see nothing appealing about forcing a guy into the guise of a girl, not even in fanfic country.

another thing i wonder about is the very twisted system of honor everybody has created for ranma fics. seriously, who in their right minds would willingly honor a seppuku contract they unknowingly made at age 5. that's not even mentioning all those twisted engagements.

then there's the whole father issue. why hasn't anybody arrested him yet, or why hasn't ranma railed against the planned out future. teenagers don't take that stuff like that lying down no matter what.
