Long, long ago (roughly 2009), I was introduced to the wondrous world of fan fiction. After falling swiftly and spectacularly in love with fanfiction.net and the compassionate, creative community therein, I began feverishly reading, reviewing and, yes, writing. I received my first real criticism (yes, I cried a little, but it was good for my soul), met one of my most cherished friends, and discovered that some parts of the internet were indeed populated by nice humans. Drawn most irresistibly to the Phantom of the Opera community, but intrigued by fan fiction in general, I spent far, far too much time writing terrible stories, and reading excellent ones. Once I realized all the time I spent on fanfiction.net was compromising my offline life, I took a brief break of a mere seven years.
And now? I'm back. These days, I'm a freelance editor and communications professional, so I look forward to leaving many constructive, kind, and enthusiastic reviews. I'm still, as ever, an ardent lover of Erik and Christine, so who knows? Maybe I'll get around to writing slightly less terrible stories, too.
I'm an open book and a willing ear, so should you ever want reviews, feedback, or a friendly chat, don't hesitate. I'm excessively busy, but I always have time for writers.
I leave you with these, my favourite words about writing: "I’m a writer because I write. Not because I’ve been published in certain places. Not because people pay me. I’m a writer because I write. So are you." ~ Ijeoma Oluo
