![]() So, here we go, a life long story about me. Hrm, I don't think so some how. I will say that I am a 22 year old graphic designer with a very over active imagination, this is due to various things. Probably the nicotine and caffine that my body has become so accustomed to that it actually needs them to function correctly, addiction I believe it is called. Writing has been something that has come very naturally to me from a young age. I don't know whether or not others would agree with me but I feel a certain affinity for writing, there is something very calming about it and by comparison to my normal mentality I tend to find that it helps me focus in juxtaposition to my thoughts being in about two hundred and thirty one different places at any one given time. I don't write for anybody other than me, seems like a very selfish attitude but at the end of the day writing is always a personal thing and always open to interpretation. I guess thats something I really like about reading- trying to find a deeper meaning behind the words. Fan Fiction for me is a strange thing- I guess its my way of taking something I know and love and placing my own personal spin on it. It's about expanding a universe that you know, love and are familiar and comfortable enough with to be able to craft something that works into this somehow. For fun I guess I write fan fictions, short stories, I do graphics practically most days whether its a full blown six sheet for a project or an A4 doodle done while I am listening to people blabber on Ventrilo. I play Warcraft quite a bit as well and have always had a fascination with that kind of mythology and style of lore telling. Thats something that constantly keeps me involved in WoW, the lore behind it. Music, I listen to, but trying to define what I listen in terms of a genre is something which, recently became impossible. It's a big range, primarily metal, folk metal especially, ranging down to classical, ethereal ambience style compositions- no rap or anything like that though, detestable variety of music in my honest opinion. No offense intended, it simply isn't for me. Recently have been delving into the realm of 'Dead Can Dance' who are amazing- their music is inspirational and I find that with quite a few of their pieces they really help me draw focus for whatever I am working on. I also recently joined twitter, feel free to contact me, if anybody is interested I can be found via: http://twitter.com/ihaveyourlemons No less, I bid you adieu, hope you check out my fan fictions- I always like feed back on things, whether it be good or bad, it is always appreciated. -- Current Projects: Mostly working on one shots nowadays, can't seem to fit in the time to write anything longer. I like to get into a good rhythm of work, unfortunately this can't happen when I am being distracted every ten minutes. These are the projects I am trying to get done casually when I have a significant amount of free time. Fable, The Dark Age: A story of love, doom, evil warlords and chosen saviors. First three chapters of part one are up. Two others are in existence but not in a release state at the moment. Hoping to maybe finish part one of this story before the sequel to the game is released. Obsolete: Personal project based on World of Warcraft and some random adventures. Resident Evil, Survivors of Umbrella: My precious pet project that will never be finished. Something I have, in some way, shape or form, been developing or working on from I was fourteen. Yeah, thats eight years ago. Originally written as two short stories when I was fourteen, then merged to work together to work as one long story when I was about seventeen. It was then refined, brainstormed and finally I started to rewrite it. I just never got round to finishing the version I always wanted it to be. For Glory and Victory: New project, started this week. Inspired by a variety of things. Mainly music. After a wipe of my computer I had to replace most of my playlists, I decided to put a bit more effort into this and as such created a two hour long playlist with music that I felt chartered the outlying story of an epic tale about a war between great nations, waged over an entire continent. Its only a short story really but I want it have an epic feel to it. Hence everything on exaggerated standards. Not sure if this will be published here since I am not sure if its fan fiction or not. In case you were wondering the music through the playlist comprises of the following artists- Megadeth, 3 Inches of Blood, Finntroll, Korpiklaani, Eluveitie, Nightwish, Trivium and finally culminating in Turisas for the immense finale. And no, its not all screaming metal doom, its music that directly reflects this sort of story. |
