WELCOME TO THE AGE OF EDWARD CONTEST

The Age of Edward Contest will feature quality stories throughout various historical eras, ranging from ancient times up until the modern era.

The contest will begin January 2, 2012.

The contest will close February 15, 2012.

Public voting will begin on February 16, 2012

Public voting will close on February 22, 2012

Winners will be announced March 1, 2012

Each round winners will be chosen based on votes by readers. Winners will each receive a prize for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place.

Please consider grammar, character development, creativity, and adherence to the historical era you've chosen when writing.

Rules

There are two categories for The Age of Edward contest this year.

Literotica Category

Entries can be submitted as either "canon" or be classified as "all-human/alternate universe".

All entries must be one-shots or short stories.

All entries must include smut/lemons, and therefore MUST be rated M.

All entries must be wholly original, previously unpublished.

All entries must be between 3,000 and 12,000 words.

All entries must be betad and meet minimum grammar, punctuation, and spelling standards. Submissions that do not meet these standards will be rejected.

Collaborations welcome.

No more than two entries per person.

Young Adult Category

Entries can be submitted as either "canon" or be classified as "all-human/alternate universe".

All entries must be one-shots or short stories.

All entries must include appropriate T-Rated content suited for readers under 18 years of age.

All entries must be wholly original, previously unpublished.

All entries must be between 3,000 and 12,000 words.

All entries must be betad and meet minimum grammar, punctuation, and spelling standards. Submissions that do not meet these standards will be rejected.

No more than two entries per person.

Collaborations welcome.

Submission

Stories will be posted in two locations; under this community and at the archive at the Age of Edward website. An author must have a fanfiction account, but must also submit the story under their profile using the "add story" function. Once it is added, a private message should be sent to the Age of Edward profile to notify us of the submission. In the subject of the private message, please list the following:

PENNAME/TITLE OF STORY/AGE OF EDWARD ERA/CATEGORY (LITEROTICA OR YOUNG ADULT)

The submissions can be from any point of view, although they must be in the context of the theme you choose and must feature Edward. They can take place in any historical era from Pre-history to the 1980's, so long as the story is historically accurate. Choices may include, but are not limited to these options below.
