Sequel to The Red Queen, set five years after the original. After Ruby's failed shot at revenge, the Red Queen has taken Remnant by storm. Yang gets a sudden visit from Qrow, who warns her about her mother being insanely obsessed with Summer and that she could possibly go after Ruby. However, his warning could be too late, as Raven is going after her new Summer Rose. (Insane Raven. Ladybug on the side.)

After the Battle of Beacon, Ruby and Yang return home, now with permanent scars, mental and physical. Qrow and Taiyang have another argument over whether or not they should tell Ruby the truth about her father, leading to Yang learning some deep secrets about Qrow. Rated M for strong language (Mostly Qrow), adult content, and mature/difficult subject matter. Spoilers for Volume 3.

Ruby Rose has been around since the beginning. Lived a long life, forever stuck at the age of twenty-one. Alongside this she has been granted the Summer Maiden powers. The only Summer Maiden ever. But the wizard has an important mission for her. Protect the Maiden's. When they are threatened once more, she must reveal herself to protect them. (Follows the normal story, with twists)

Ruby's Semblance is exactly what it seems and so much more. Sort of a character study, but best described as a series of related one-shots. Rated T for Qrow's mouth.
