I cannot image anyone out there reading this bio since I have not written any stories. I am a reader, not a writer. But just in case you are someone who likes to get to know a little about the person who left you a review or if you are bored and enjoy reading bios ... here is a little about me. I am a married, 30-something year old mother of 4. My greatest role in life is being a wife and mother. I love to spend as much time with my family as possible. They are my world! My hobbies are my digital family photo albums, reading, 4-wheeling, flower gardening and spending all available moments with family and friends. Unfortunately, I have to leave home 40+ hours a week to earn money for little things like food and shoes - you know nothing too important. ;-) But on the up side I do enjoy my job away from home. I work for a state university as an academic advisor. I love working with students that are excited about education and their futures. As an added bonus, I also work directly with the high school students that are taking college courses. All of this character development about myself leads me to the reason I am a member of fanfiction.com. Several years ago my daughter introduced me to fanfiction. She loves to read and since I limited my taxi driving services to the library to once a week, she had to find alternative things to read. She loves Harry Potter books and soon became a writer herself. I enjoyed occasionally reading fanfiction stories too. When the Twilight books came out, my daughter bought them and was instantly a fan. Over the years the students that I work with were always talking about the books. A couple of months ago I was looking for something to read and decided to read Twilight. I was hooked! I can only read after the kids are in bed so one night I started reading and then I could not stop. I even called in sick that Monday so I could finish the book while the kids were in school. That week I read all three books. Then I started reading them again ... and again. I am completely an Edward-holic! If Edward were not a fictional character that was a vampire - I would need to get serious counseling because of how obsessed I am ... it is a little frightening. I am glad he is not a real person - I love my husband, but wow, Edward is ... well Edward is Edward. Needless to say, I could not get enough. Edward is my heroin ... my singer! I went online to see if I could find more ... and surprise, millions of other people are as addicted as I am! I started reading the fanfiction for the Twilight series and soon had to become a member so that I could leave a review here and there. I like to read the complete stories because I am not patient enough to wait for the unfinished endings. I began reading so much fanfiction that I definitely started having an opinion. I thought about being a beta, but I would have to write! My favorite stories are when the authors keep the characters in character. I also found that I cannot find a Breaking Dawn story with the ending as I have it in my head. So now I am thinking of writing my own Breaking Dawn! But like I said before, I am a reader, not a writer. Just this bio alone has taken me over an hour to write! I can't keep up with my laundry, let alone write a whole book! My other problem is that I am always thinking of other things to add to the story that I am not even writing. I had so many notes here and there that I now keep index cards in my purse so that I can jot down the thoughts and then put them in the order of the story. SO ... this is a test. If someone out there, other than my daughter or any of her friends, actually reads this bio and thinks I should try to somehow write my story then maybe I will. But until I hear from someone, my already hectic life will continue status quo. I will continue to read other fan's versions of Breaking Dawn and maybe someone will come close to what I think will happen and I will not need to feel compelled to tell my story. So until I hear from someone I will assume my bio has not been read by any one, the planets will continue to not be perfectly aligned, I will keep dreaming of Edward and eventually August 2 will roll around and I can read what really happens to Stephenie's wonderful characters. |
