This is the account for two authors to share a DC Comics Movieverse saga.

SUMMARY: In the summer of 2001, Superman saved the world from fellow Kryptonian General Zod. No one would know or understand what he sacrificed to defeat him, most especially not the woman he loved. He erased Zod's takeover from the memories of the entire world and prevented it from ever happening. His next big save -- a nuclear plant explosion in California that could have cost millions of lives -- came with a horrible price: deadly radioactivity, keeping him from being near any one, even those he cared about.

The week before September 11th, Superman made the decision to leave Earth. His mother received a good-bye phone call. Lois Lane didn't even get a note. It was the hardest thing he ever had to do. Now, in the wake of the 9/11 attacks on the United States, everyone must learn to cope with the losses, those of family and loved ones and the biggest loss of them all: the absence of Superman.

NOTE: This fic will follow the basic storyline of Reeveverse Superman, Nolanverse Batman, and the recent animated Wonder Woman, involving a reworked Superman Returns plotline.
