Hello! My name is redrew89, though I have also been known as Diffindo. As my alias would suggest, I am primarily a Harry Potter fanfiction reader and aspiring writer. I have produced several stories in the past, though all of them have fallen into Writer's Block Limbo, as canon events have either rendered the stories defunct, or I simply couldn't think of how best to continue them. I do have a new project, in the works, however; a continuation titled "Harry Potter and the Concept of Freedom" wherein everyone's favorite boy (or, as of now, man) wizard faces new challenges, picking up just where Deathly Hallows leaves off, though before the Epilogue, as a middle-aged Harry is much more difficult to write about. I'm very proud of the first few chapters, feeling like I've really improved my writing since my first dabbling.

I am currently looking for someone to beta upcoming chapters for the above-mentioned story, as I have been making my eyes nearly bleed from continually checking and re-checking my work for spelling and grammar, as well as clarity and plot-coherence. I could really use an extra pair of eyes to catch my occasionally shabby writing, owing to late nights at my computer, when inspiration has made sleep impossible.

Otherwise, I do hope to have fun while I re-visit my old stomping-grounds, and do something with my hoards of diabolical plot-bunnies. I've been a member for quite a few years, now, though I can't truly remember when it was I first joined.

LATEST! - 10/10/2013 - REVISION QUEST COMPLETE!

Success! Not only have I cleaned up and republished the first ten chapters of Freedom, I have also done some major legwork in properly developing more of my plot line and surrounding back story, as well as extensive research in making sure that events in the story properly correlate with both real-life events relevant to the plot, as well as events within the Potter canon. Once I finish cleaning up the remaining chapters I have written, I'll make sure I complete 'Act I' and post it in it's entirety in the near future.

10/08/2013 - REVISION QUEST

I've been looking over the first few of chapters of Freedom and have come to a few realizations:

1. I need a beta reader.

2. I am really bad at grammar, sometimes.

3. I could use a beta reader.

4. I need to pay more attention to what I'm currently writing, instead of getting ahead of myself in my mind, planning out later plot events.

5. I really need a beta reader.

After putting up with my apparent lack of proper self-editing, I've opted to cut everything but the first ten chapters of Freedom for the time being. I can't be sure if those remaining chapters will or will not contain egregious errors, but I'll soon be replacing the current content with newly-edited chapters. I've been noticing several glaring inconsistencies in my master copy, which I've already been revising, tweaking, and otherwise cleaning up. I also still need a beta reader.
