What makes a fanfiction go wrong?

1) An awful OC makes any fanfiction bleh. Yes, everyone has done it at least once. Sometimes there are good OCs, really. But we've all seen Inuyasha's long lost full demon sister who's a cat demon and happens to love Koga and they settle down and have perfect little litters.

2) Random, out of character yaoiness is terrible. Do you see evidence of Sesshomaru and Naraku? No? Ranma and Ryoga? Their passion for each other isn't love, people, it's hate. At least we think so (the death threats tend to make this evident).

3) Random OOCness in general, actually. Roy does not have a secret crush on Lust. Nope, not gonna believe it. As for Ichigo, you ask? We're pretty sure he does not sparkle. Unless Rukia dumped glitter on him. Then maybe.

4) Pairings that make no sense and crossover pairings that don't make sense. I'm sorry, but I simply don't see Shippo with Tohru.

5) Chatspeak and bad spelling. u n00bs shud no better UDHHHH. I'm not going to go nitpick your grammar but "U r so cute" is not okay if you're trying to be a serious fanfiction author.

6) Random spells and magic. If one more of you turns Sasuke into an animal, girl or potato chip...

Now if your fic falls into one of the above categories, do not fret! A well-written fic can pass anything off, especially if you have a love for the series. We don't mean to offend (though we totally will).

We assure you that there are no well-written fics under this name. Good ones (okay, and some bad ones too) are under the linked names below.

This is the account under which all crack-fics, parodies, and general silliness co-authored by Pensulliwen (Ally) and Colormyworld (Lala) in their boredom shall be documented. By no means should you judge us or our writing skills based on anything seen here. Spoiler: Ally doesn't really like yaoi.

All of these stories were based on tru fax. Some names were changed to protect the innocent.
