If Beth had NOT been kidnapped and Daryl and she had stayed on the road together: On the road, searching for safety, searching for community, keeping an eye out for their dispersed group, Daryl and Beth make a go of it as best they can, becoming a solid unit of two. Encountering both the living and the dead, they must fight not only for survival but for faith the fight is worth it.

We all know what happened in "Alone" after Daryl and Beth are cut off during an intimate conversation at the kitchen table, but what would have happened if Daryl didn't open the door? This story is on-going and follows the plot of the show very closely, however, events have been tweaked based on how I think the storyline would have progressed with Beth being alive.

He tilted his head as he looked me up and down in consideration. "So what might a little girl like you be doing out here at night, alone, with no one around?" He grinned that shark-like smile, showing off his perfect set of white teeth. "Does your father know you're out here all by yourself?"

He'd tracked her all the way to this creepy hospital with the cops that had a woman with dead eyes as a leader. There was no way he was just going to let Beth stand toe to toe with her without him being within arm's reach. Bethyl - Slowburn Rated M for language and eventual adult situations.

He thought back to the last time he saw her. The golden tresses of blonde hair tumbling down her back as it rested in a messy ponytail stained with crimson. The same blue eyes that he would stare into for hours upon end as they spoke in the stillness of the days that surrounded them, the true epitome of a window to her soul – which now, as she stood before him, were betraying her.

She was lost in a world full of death. But he had been there, and he wasn't going anywhere. Bethyl.

Twenty years after the war with the Saviors, Rick and Michonne's family is thriving, but a drought puts them all in danger. Out of desperation, they leave the safety of Alexandria, to take their chances on the road once again. Will this decision mean their salvation?

"It's been two years. They can be long gone by now, or worse.." She didn't want to think about that. Not now. Especially not now that she ran from the walkers. If Beth hadn't interrupted him when she did, calling him back with the melody of her voice, he might've done something dumb like opening the door for a doomed dog and maybe dooming them both while he was at it. Beth and Daryl escape the funeral home together. An Alone-divergence Bethyl story.

They had food and a garden and Lucky the goat with her milk and Beth knew all of the berries, bark, greens and flowers in the woods that were safe to eat and they had Daryl, who was able to hunt them rabbits and deer.

With the apocalypse raging on, Beth and Daryl have to stick by each other's side in order to survive. Daryl passes a helping hand who decides to move things along. Daryl and Beth have to put their differences aside and realize what they've gotten themselves into.

..Daryl/Beth.. S4. It's been just them for fifty four days. Fifty four days of getting closer. Fifty four days of walking, still trying to find any of their family, still trying to not just survive. But to live. Fifty four days before Beth starts coughing and Daryl knows that he'll do anything to get them another fifty four days together.

The family is at it's lowest. Having just lost one of their own at the hands of The Saviors and their deranged leader, Negan. The group is broken, looking to make sense of it all when someone they believed to be lost to them for good walks back into their lives. Set immediately after the Season 6 finale.

Beth has been on her own for a while when she comes across a man who might just be the missing link to the family that she wasn't sure still existed.

It all clicks into place and she holds her breath. The cleanliness of the place, the dog, the supplies, all of it. It was a trap and acid rises in her throat. He takes her hand and they run off into the night. Beth/Daryl, going AU after 'Alone'. Now with sequel: 'let's keep warm till it's day'

This story is based off of the Walking Dead and it is my version of what happens after season 4 ends. It starts off with Daryl and Beth fleeing the prison after the Governor attacks and slowly builds a relationship between them. Then, it follows Beth and Daryl once they are separated and how they manage to be reunited.
