Hello!

My name is Vivian Zaine. I will primarily being using this account to publish my Dungeons and Dragons fanfiction story: Missteps.

I fell in love with the mechanics of D&D almost immediately, including the randomness of the dice rolls. I do hold a Bachelor's degree in Creative Writing, and I looked at this as a challenge. What kind of story could I create in which there were defined rules not only the magic side, but also melee attacks and acts of physical prowess. Even the characters themselves from the onset are limited by ability stats and race. This was a challenge I embraced wholeheartedly.

The main characters all have character sheets and stats, and all monsters and challenges are taken from the various fifth edition manuals.

This project has two cardinal rules: 1) If there is a printed rule, I must use it. 2) Dice rolls are final.

These rules keep me to honest to the mechanics, and make sure that I accept the fates dealt by the randomness of the dice.

I've been working on this project for a year now, and I don't have an end date for the story.
