3. Please read the blurb about the type of Selection. It's not conventional by any means, and I don't want to surprise any of you or leave you in the dark when writing it up.

This Selection is going to be held in the 1700's. Illéa hasn't been established yet, but then again, neither has America. The main subject matter for this material is pirates, and essentially pirate royalty. There is magic in this, but the girls don't have any, so please don't include it in their character. That comes later! :) The women are going to spend the first half of the Selection going through a series of tests. Some are physical and some a mental, but only after that will they get their chance to prove their worth to the 'royalty' in person. They each were brought unwillingly but each submission must have a motivation for staying in this Selection. There is going to be romance in the story, so keep that in mind as well. There many different ways your character may win, and may score more than one!

*Some extra information because many people are asking similar questions. The story is starting in the middle of the ocean, a couple months into the voyage. They are all on a large charter ship transporting immigrants and workers to America from London, England. The Selection itself if a series of trials, and once the main love interest gets introduced several chapters further in, because he's meant to be shrouded in mystery, then the Selection will turn it's focus onto impressing him and gaining his favor.*
