I shamelessly write Mary Sue X-Men fan fic. I split off from canon in the late 90's. I don't care about the movies. I don't care about the TV Shows. I used to care about the comics, but the day they digitized them, that was the end for me.

I'm not saying that the new way, since 1999 or so, of drawing comics is bad. It's amazing. It's just not for me. And rewriting the story for the movie series really stabbed me in my soul. Iceman and Rogue? WTF?

Although, truth be told, part of my irritation on that point was that I had written my own storyline for Iceman, and I didn't really want Rogue to have anything to do with him. Also, anyone who read Marvel in the 90's knows ROGUE GOES WITH REMY. Anything else is sacrilege (thus says the Mary Sue Fan Fic writer on a Fan Fic website!)

I don't concern myself much with the canon X-Men, with the exception of the White Queen. My real life grandmother has the personality that I imagine Emma Frost has, so I write a lot about her. At this point, I have hundreds of pages of stories, and what I'm really looking for is feedback and editing suggestions. I get lazy when I just write for myself. Mary Sue writers are in love with their characters (ostensibly, themselves), and it's incredibly difficult to read about someone else's precious Sue, nailing all the hotties and being doted upon and just generally being smug. I recognize that. I can't blame you for not reading this bull- I also hate to read other ppl's Mary Sue fic. I do try to have my Sue's ass kicked once in a while, but I can't help it, she usually emerges looking pretty smug.

So, my Sue, her name is Alice Cassidy. She's a teen student at Xaviers School in the 1990's, about a decade after GenX moved on. She has a twin brother named Nathan, and their mother was Siryn (Theresa Cassidy.) Hence, her grandfather is Banshee (SUE ALERT) and (DOUBLE SUE ALERT) her guardian in the United States is (WARNING) Emma Frost. Hijinks!

All the comic book/TV show/Movie X-men are in their 60's at this point in my dastardly tales, and I mainly focus on their children.

I maintain a livejournal page, the name of which has been indicated in the above paragraphs, dedicated to my Sue. That's really the highpoint of Mary Sue entitlement and self-love. How sad!
