DWAMFW - Don't Write Another Motha' Fuckin' Word

Yes, I adapted this from a line in Reno 911.

Basically, I am sick of all the badfic that is rampant about the net. What I am more concerned about, however, are the people that give "squeeing" reviews to said badfic, saying "omfg this iz awsum plz updates!!" Honestly, it just encourages the madness, and I am here to hopefully counterbalance that.

"Don't like it, don't read it." That's what the fanbrats have to say. However, I say, "Don't want criticism, don't post it on a public site." Simple as that. I will not try to be overly harsh and mean with my reviews, but by God I will be honest. If you can't handle the truth, then you shouldn't be posting your stories publicly. If you just wanted your stories to be shared amongst you and your friends, then you should have traded them by e-mail. Since you posted them on a public site, however, that opens the door to scrunity from anyone, which includes me. Don't like the scrunity? Then take your story down.

I'm sure that the fanbrats will also pounce on the fact that there are no stories posted under this profile. Oh, what am I to say to the fanbrats who loudly exclaim, "u dont post ne stories, u shudnt judge mine!!" Maybe something along the lines of this:

(1) Yes, I am a writer. I post on ff.net under another penname, and I write coherent stories with good grammar, characterization, and plot development. However, this is not about me, this is about you, focusing on me will not help you as a writer, so I have removed those distractions.

(2) There are people out there that cannot write, yet I bet you anything they can tell if a story is horseshit or not. I can't carry a tune in a bucket, but I can hear if a singer is flat or off-key or just generally bad. Just because you cannot read my own stories does not mean that I do not write and that I do not know a good story when I see one.

So tread with caution. Or, should I say, write with caution ... Haha.
