Kit Vintage in many parts of the online writing community, or Alliah Czarielle Guerra in real life, started writing at the age of two. Since then, she has managed to come up with an extensive poetry collection so vast, a hundred poetry books dedicated exclusively to her own could not possibly encompass it all (now, that my friend, is a bit of an exaggeration ). All foolish statements aside, Kit Vintage admits to have always been extremely fond of compiling her own works the way her mother did when she was little, collecting each poetry volume--often painstakingly filed by year--and stocking them aside, should she chance upon a publisher willing to take a chance on them. To date, her said collection consists of several poetic manuscripts varying in practically all respects: from the ever-so-simple-yet-not-quite "River Birds," fruit of the two-year old mind, which is often depicted surreally, as if the excess in imagination could alter everything around them--and indeed it could, for that is the unseen gist of a child's innocence, and what gives them power and makes them different from everyone else, particularly those who are older and seem to have lost that skill; to an exuberant writing endeavor attempting justification of one's own messed up love, tagged as what was believed to be most appropriate for the time, and therefore came to be "Catharsis X: Lethal Obsession" (then tentatively titled but seemingly might retain its name); and another more varied roster of literary artifacts from different periods of her life, an obvious sign of her love to experiment on different writing styles and elements. Several other poems have been written, particularly after her fourteenth birthday, though most of these remain uncompiled, and lie strewn in whichever portions of virtual reality the author could claim as her own. This was most likely due to the devastation done to her by two unwanted events, one being an almost month-long domination upon her by what could be easiest described as a phobia that spanned even her special day, and another that is known to many yet is hardly ever spoken of, primarily due to her refusal to do so, a choice that is therefore respected. She has also written two novels to which she would lay rightful and proud claim, plus a serious yet laughable 70+-page story written when she was a little seven-year-old, which she is obviously not as proud of (neither would you, if you were continuously tormented by some book written by a precocious little girl who insisted on putting into paper the cool adventures of some fifteen-year-old named Mary Kidney who constantly saves her suicidal best friend, a girl who seems to be living in the backwash of humanity--and I know you'd be expecting to see dialysis here; unfortunately there is nothing of the sort. Yeah, right. Now you know how it feels to be corny. ) She currently lives in the Philippines (though her appearance does not indicate the same), and is busy most of the time cramming her assignments and projects to be submitted four hours later to her teachers-gone-impatient at the Philippine Science High School, where she is now a sophomore. Luckily it was semestral break at the moment that she wrote this (and yes, she did write this extremely long "About Me"--oh no, not again!--which you must now be, to some higher extent, appalled with), so she was able to take unlimited time off to submit a story, perhaps the only story she will ever submit here, seeing as she does more originals than fanfics, and only did one because... well, you'll see in the description. A few days ago she had unearthed this story from the mixed up files of a computer that was about to be thrown away (and no, not from the mixed-up files of Mrs. Basil E. Frankweiler!), and for this reason decided to set up an account here. She maintains a brand-new blog at customanarchy.blogspot.com, which really doesn't contain much as of this day but will soon be populated with much more than her cheezy sentiments heaven knows when that will be. Everyone is invited to do so and your dropping by will be much appreciated (don't forget to tag when you get there). Believe it, or believe it even more, she has four other blogs, the most prominent being at guerraparaverdad.wordpress.com and other minor blogs which she shall not state (contact me if you want the address, though I really don't think you'll appreciate what you'll see, either, so run the risk), except perhaps for the blog at kiweifriendshipworld which she used to share with a fifth-grade friend (yeah, that was a long time ago); but not anymore since it died anyway, and nobody's been visiting since (of course you guys are welcome to visit anytime you wish). She is also a contributor to her school's opinion-centered blog, and to the school paper as well, though it has not released a single issue yet since June. She is currently on the lookout for a publisher for her works, and yeah, for some inspiration to spice up her life... as a writer, sure. |
