This is my profile with more or less important information XD

I am a fanfiction reader from Germany. I have been member of the german FanFiktion. de vor two years now. Sadly, there are not so many stories and categories as here so I finally made up my mind to sign up here! *yeah*

Sorry if my english sucks. I'm trying to improve it every time a little bit more so I think this here will help me, too!

I'm not sure if I will ever post any fanfiction. I'm not even sure if my english is good enough for it! I mean, I can write nice stories in German but english would be a new challenge!

I LOVE the english language. The melody is sooo different from our german language. I always wonder how it would sound to people from other countries. But I can imagine that it sounds very hard and sharp... if anyone wants to tell me just send me a message! German is a very nice language, too. You have many ways to express your words and what you want to say. Does anyone know Goethe or Schiller out there? The guys ruled! Their poems are simply awesome. I keep wondering how the people can manage to translate a poem into another language and keep the meaning, the feeling and the rhyme!

So, what can I say about me?

I'm fascinated by the similarities between english and german. There are so many words that mean the same and sound almost equal or at least very similiar like:

Bred= Brot, house= Haus, mouse= Maus, arm=Arm, scarf= Schal, east=ost, south=Süd (Sued), west= West, north= Nord, man= Mann, uncle= Onkel, shoe= Schuh, red= rot, green=grün (gruen), blue= blau, rendeer= Rentier, to follow=folgen, to allow= erlauben, school= Schule

Did MrsJasminTumnus write fanfictions herself?

Oh yes, she did. I wrote a Star Trek Fanfiction two years ago about Spock and my OC Lucy falling in love...(today I would say it's quite silly but I know these stories were my first longer and good ones). Another is about Harry Potter with the pairing Sirius/OC. My 'baby' is about the darren shan movie (haven't read the books) with more than 40 chapters.

but they exist only in German. I never dared to write a longer story in english. However, if I did I think I would have to search for a good Betareader :)

In addition to this I don't have much inspiration for new strories. So I doubt there is anything to come in the next weeks.

Fandoms I love:

Currently I definatly love fandoms like Harry Potter, Night in the Museum, Narnia, El labyrinto del fauno (Pan's labyrinth), but my current obsession are the LOR films... maybe it seems a little bit weird, but I was never interested in the films until I watched 'The Hobbit' a few weeks ago...

and then I was like: WOOOOW! THAT'S SO EPIC! so here we are!

characters I love from these fandoms:

Harry Potter:

Sirius Black, Snape, Remus Lupin, Dumbledore, Tonks, Luna Lovegood

Narnia:

Mr Tumnus, Lucy, Aslan

Pan's Labyrinth:

The faun... and the creepy monster of course!

Night in the Museum:

Akhmenrah, Larry, Teddy Roosevelt, Jeddidiah and his 'best friend/enemy' whose name I forgot...

Lord of the Rings/The Hobbit:

Bilbo Buggins, Arwen, Aragorn, Galadriel, Gollum, Frodo, Sam...

and my absolutle favorite characters:

Gimli the dwarf, Gandalf (I like him no matter if he is 'the Grey' or 'the White' but I prefer him as 'The Grey' because there he is more the nice uncle with fireworks and I really love that) and, never to be forgotten, my absolute favorite character of all favorite characters:

Legolas Greenleaf.

And every female (or even male) with eyes in her/his head will understand, hahaha :DDD

It's something I have problems to stop because in german we make MANY MORE commas to accent the articulation of the sentence (um, I hope my words make any sense... aaah there was it again, the comma!) )
