Hermione was not expecting Harry to outshine her in Potions, and she certainly was not expecting an unlikely friendship to form between her and Draco Malfoy because of it. (Alternate HBP leading to DH)

Draco and Hermione find themselves in a very unfortunate situation, one where they'll be forced to trust one another with their deepest secrets. Because how does a relationship between enemies change when they have full access to each other's mind? When they discover each other's darkest secrets? And how will they be able to use it as their advantage?

Hermione is the one who finds Draco weeping in the bathroom. He flees. She chases him into the Room of Requirement, and the room forces them to face their greatest fears together in order to find the door.
