It's a second chance kind of encounter when Shouto runs into an old friend, if he can even call him that. A friend he hasn't seen in two years, never again if he'd had any say in it. Secrets that once bound them together have torn them apart, and Shouto's carefully constructed (read: lonely) life is turned upside down as he's reminded that family is what you make it.

Trapped on a quicksand couch in the middle of a cafe packed with a crowd Izuku doesn't want to face, he plans his escape. Until a tall man with stormy ocean eyes and a guitar strapped to his back walks in at the last minute and with him comes all the inspiration Izuku has ever needed.

For the first time in his life, Shouto's time is (mostly) his own, but it's not long before he's isolated himself in his studio apartment, depressed and apathetic about it. It takes a not-so-gentle push from Fuyumi and a serendipitous moment on a green Spring day to make him realize that maybe he doesn't know as much as he thought he did.

It's Izuku and Shouto's tenth anniversary, but Shouto has to stop by the school before they can go out for dinner. Izuku finds himself reliving memories from their time at UA as Shouto does his best to keep a big secret.

Seven years after confessing their feelings to one another and deciding to just be friends, Midoriya and Todoroki are roommates. After an eventful morning, Todoroki sits on the roof and contemplates the promise he couldn't keep. Lots of angst and a very happy ending.
