Hello, my name is Raine. (RaineMalfoy on AIM if you care to message me) I am a writer and I love the Harry Poter books. I am 20 years old so I’m mature enough to handle a little bit of smutty writing, but be aware, children, that there is a fine-line between a smutty-romance and pornography and if it is poorly written pornography I will point it out.

I am looking for good, substantial Draco/Ginny (DM/GW) fanfics. Any rating, I do not care, and any length, though I do want them to be more than 3 chapters long. If anyone should know a good fiction, please, send me word.

I like to pair Draco Malfoy up with Ginny Weasley. I think it is a sweet story of “forbidden love” and my reasoning is, well, Ginny is not with Harry anymore come the end of book six, she is “very pretty” and “popular with the boys” according to the later books, and I think she has a good heart and can see past prejudices she has because of her family. Draco I think is not all he’s played off to be in the early books. After reading book six there is a serious question of just how much of what he says and does is testament to his father’s teachings/expectations/pressures and what is really him and how he thinks/feels. I do not doubt that he is a bigot towards muggle-borns. (racism and bigotry are learned behaviors) but I think he too is capable of seeing past his families prejudices if he feels there is no longer some great heavy expectation and standard of how he is to be/act. I can see them coming together, and I really hope for it, but I think it is all just fantasy, but that's alright since it is a feasible fantasy supported by facts and evidence from the books.

I used to fancy the idea of Draco and Hermione Granger, but JKR said that they would not hook up in the books so therefore the pairing lost some twinkle in my opinion. I have come to find Granger rather annoying in the latest books, and therefore wouldn't want her with Draco anyways.

I HATE slash, because it would NEVER HAPPEN in the books. Like I said above, I can only read pairings that are in SOME WAY feasible.

I am fascinated by the idea that Draco Malfoy is a werewolf. I will not get into it much here, but note this:

On page 321, Harry's observation of Draco is interesting (emphasis bold).

"Harry stared at Malfoy. It was not the sucking-up that intrigued him; he had watched Malfoy do that to Snape for a long time. It was the fact that Malfoy did, after all, look a little ill. This was the first time he had seen Malfoy close up for ages; he now saw that Malfoy had dark shadows under his eyes and a distinctly grayish tinge to his skin."

Compare this to the description of Remus Lupin in Prisoner of Azkaban on page 185 (again, emphasis bold):

"Professor Lupin was back at work. It certainly looked as though he had been ill. His old robes were hanging more loosely on him and there were dark shadows beneath his eyes..."

This, as well as the lengthy explanation Lupin gave about Greyback "punishing" people's children by biting them and such lead me to great suspicion.

Could Draco Malfoy be a Werewolf?
