Author has written 12 stories for His Dark Materials, Harry Potter, Misc. Books, South Park, and Les Miserables. Salvete and pax intrantibus. I'm Amelia. My FF.net presence is a bizarre one. All of these fics were begun in high school, and only one was continued past it: The Irreparable Abandonment of a Thinking Being. Not uncoincidentally, that is the only one I encourage you to read. As for the others, read at your own risk; there be dragons in this here archive. I have only taken down the worst of the worst; for the most part, the layers of embarrassing obsessions are forever frozen like foliations in the fossil record. It's a matter of principle, you see. I've written stuff for, in no particular order, His Dark Materials, The Triplets of Belleville, When the Wind Blows, "South Park," Harry Potter, L'Étranger (which, for reasons I can understand, does not have a category), Les Misérables, and various crossovers between them; I dabbled in AU, went through a major slash phase, and nearly all of my stories are incomplete. Plotlines for my major ones were at one point mapped out, but I'm no longer 15, so that's that. All "South Park" stories, including "Fierté Dedans," are on permanent hiatus; I do have unposted material, so if you're really curious, for some damn reason, you can contact me. The Triplets of Belleville and When the Wind Blows vagaries will probably also never be finished––nor, however, do I plan to delete them. As for Manifold, I would like to complete it, but I am not sure when that is going to happen; if I knew I had readers I would be more motivated. I take none of it seriously except for the things involving L'Étranger and Les Misérables (and even the L'Étranger fic reads like a bad Nabokov imitation). The "South Park" stuff embarrasses me terribly, but it is of historical interest, so up it stays. Manifold I am also not so embarrassed about, less because I am pleased with the quality of the writing—I'm not—and more because I still think it was a good concept. My absolute favorite thing is taking fascinating side characters and giving them their own backstory. Which brings us to my plea that: If you read anything, read Irreparable Abandonment; despite the slow updates, it has an arc, and a helluva one at that. Expect to be enlightened about Chenildieu's motivations during the Champmathieu trial. And if you like it, I humbly implore of you to review, favorite or follow—any of the above—so that I know you exist. Without that, I assume no one's reading! I plan to move the Les Misérables content to AO3 when I can get an account. In the meantime, you can find me on tumblr at A propos of nothing, I always wanted my pen name to be La Saboteuse, but that name was and continues to be taken. |
