Author has written 3 stories for Twilight, Harry Potter, X-Men: The Movie, and Zoolander.

I'm a Canadian currently living in Japan, going back to my roots and realizing that the strange growth on the side of my face that was my anime/otaku-fandom was never really gone - I just couldn't see it in the mirror. Grappling with being a self-hating were-otaku (or a jotaku if you'll forgive the terrible pun) I'm possessed by sudden and frequent urges to go to the Shonen Jump Store and also have a strange desire to push over cute mascots to see if they will bounce. Although really, considering the fact that I want to become a comic book artist and have produced two Dojinshi with some friends...I probably should have seen it coming... ^^;

I like to write whatever fanfiction strikes my fancy, but it tends to be Harry Potter lately. I'm finding an extreme love of Gintama, which is the funniest and wittiest anime I have seen. I've also started buying and reading Dragonball, which is fabulous - even more so because I can actually read it in Japanese whereas Gintama is far too difficult for me to understand. I really love Avatar: The Last Airbender because it's amazing and can't wait for the next series to come out! I love writing crackfics with a fiery passion of fire, but also enjoy parody, satire, and cajoling of those I feel take themselves too seriously (in other words, crazy fans who no longer see the need to be rational). Unfortunately, most people hate crackfics! That makes me sad. :( If a crackfic is well-written and witty I will practically pee myself laughing. :D

My comedy is influenced by Are You Being Served?, Monty Python, Weird Al, The Simpsons, South Park, Terry Pratchett, and anything else that seems obscenely complicated or witty because I am apparently a snobby egomaniac.

I like strong emotions, and do my best to convey them. Although I love humor the most, I think having a story that is just funny or just serious becomes flat very quickly. It's like that old cliche that you can't have light without shadow. Dark parts make the comedy funnier and vica versa. So, in my own clumsy ineffectual way, I hope to eventually figure out how to write a well-balanced and interesting story by being lazy and stealing other people's characters. :P I keep telling myself it's to improve my writing ability. Tee hee! Such a tease.

Oh, and even though Mary Sue/Gary Stu fanfics are a pain to read, I don't see the need to act like a self-important egotistical bastard and flame some thirteen-year-old kid to show off how bloody smart I am (although Mary Sue parodies are fair game and quite fun). So as a general statement, I would just like to say that flamers - particularly those insidious sneaky ones who do it under the guise of "constructive feedback" - should maybe also develop enough of an intelligence to realize the average age and education of the person whose fic your reading is not necessarily the same as your own. And that perhaps an online fanfiction website is not the most effective place to protect the sanctity of literature by smiting people who are just having fun with your pointy words (in fact, why would you even think that about the internet in general??) This is, after all, the literary carnival. However, props to those who provide actual constructive feedback. It takes time, effort, and is a very kind thing to do. :)

So, in summary, I am a hypocritical, self-hating, incontinent egomaniac with some kind of face tumor. Enjoy.

April 8/11: Sorry for the lack of posting lately. It started out because I was really busy with university in Japan, but then the earthquake came. I was decently far enough away, but then there is still trouble with the reactors. The short of it is that my home university pulled us out with little notice and terminated all of our programs halfway through the year. I left without saying goodbye to anyone and have only recently found out that I won't be returning. So I apologize, but it will take me a little longer before posting. I need time to set my life in motion, change my goals so that I have a life in Canada again, and deal with the fact that I had to leave everything behind so quickly. I promise once I'm a little more settled and have everything sorted out that I'll be posting somewhat more regularly.
