Hi there! My name is MobyDickAteMeLeg, AKA Captain Ahab AKA The asshole who won't shut the fuck up about aliens. I am a huge StarCraft nerd an an enthusiastic writer, who writes and thinks about writing even when it isn't healthy to do so. I care for very little outside writing. It's my one and only passion, and I hope that by doing it 24/7, I can get at least somewhat decent at it. I read books like "Twilight" and "Eragon" to get excited. If shit like that can get published, then hey, why not me? Then, I turn around and read novels like "Breakfast at Tiffany's" and "The Scarlet Pimpernel" to get depressed. Still got a long way to go before catching up to those geniuses. If you think I'm an obnoxious book nerd, I really am not. I still have a huge love of lighter hearted literature, but my head won't let me remember any at the moment. I'll post some more up later. My favorite video game is, of course, StarCraft. I also love Final Fantasy 7. But the only video games I play on a truly regular basis is StarCraft, and occasionally, GoldenEye. I'm really not a huge video game fan outside that. Unlike most people, I place a great deal of importance on video game plots. If a game doesn't have a compelling story, it most likely won't get an enthusiastic response from me, no matter how revolutionary the gameplay is. I know, I know, that's a weird way to judge a game, but hey, sue me. My real passion is cinema. I really, really, REALLY love movies. I've probably watched more movies than I've eaten bags of Doritos in my life. I wanted to be a film maker in the past, but I've sort of "given up" that dream, because it's too much work involved, and I've narrowed my focus down to "pure" writing craft. I haven't given up totally though. I will make some movies someday, if I get the chance. I live in the United States. I want to move elsewhere someday, though. Maybe Canada (cliche, yes, yes), perhaps England. I've always wanted to play that merry old country in Europe a visit. |
