![]() Author has written 2 stories for Star Wars, and Warriors. So, uh, I guess this is goodbye. Man, I feel terrible doing this. I remember back when I first started reading fanfiction and I would find a story or an author and think, "Oh, hey! This seems cool!" only to find out that the author stopped writing 4 years ago. It's really weird to be on the other side of that now, but in a way, it's also oddly refreshing. I understand why now, in a way I didn't, 2 or 3 or however many years ago it is at the time you're reading this. Time passes, and people grow, and change, and a lot of times their interests and investments change too. You stop loving the things you loved and the story you thought would end up with 100 chapters never gets finished. But at the same time, you still remember those things you loved and you cherish that story you once wrote. They may not be a part of your life anymore, but they helped you get to the part of your life where you are now, and they'll help and influence you moving forward. I have a lot of regrets about my time on Fanfiction.net. There are people who I were rude to who I wish I'd apologized to, friendships I never pursued. Some truly cringey stories- and some ones that I wish I would have continued. But I've got a lot of good memories here as well, ones that I'd never trade for the world. A lot of things happened on this site that made me who I am today, and I'm proud of that person. I've gone places and done things I'd never have dreamed of getting to do. I've met amazing people, seen amazing things. I have found a joy in living, sheer joy of being alive and surviving, of experiencing everything this world has to throw at me. I may not be active on this site anymore, but I'll always remember it. For now- good luck to you. I hope you find happiness and joy, and that you'rsatisfieded with where you are. Godspeed, and farewell. |
