![]() You probably don't know me, and that's ok (Somedays I wonder whether or not I know who I am). I only recently found out how much I loved leisure reading (and by recently I mean within the past two years). I will read almost anything that can capture my attention (for at least five minutes). I got started in all of this because of Stephenie Meyer and the somewhat unhealthy obsession I have with her writings (although my level of obsession seems about par for the course). Despite all my nonsense and tom foolery I have thoroughly enjoyed reading all of her published works including the Host, the Twilight series, and any other snippets of ideas she's working on which are located on her website. No, I'm not getting paid for this and no I don't know her personally. I'm just a fan with a respect for her talents ;) I also enjoy a majority of the off shooting story lines that the members of fanfiction here have concocted in relation to the Twilight saga. Seriously, some of them have made me squeal just as much as reading Twilight. Other literary gems I own and which more than likely influence my writing styles and themes include but are not limited to: J.K. Rowling- Harry Potter Series C.S. Lewis- The Chronicles of Narnia Roald Dahl- Matilda (which is truth be told, is the first extra-curricular book I recall ever choosing to read and actually enjoying.) Frank Beddor- The Looking Glass Wars J.R.R. Tolkien- The Lord of The Rings Series Kathryn Wesley- The 10th Kingdom Jane Austen's works which I am slowly but surely getting through Agatha Christie- And Then There Were None Ayn Rand- Atlas Shrugged (Just to clarify, YES I did read this book of my own choosing, although it took me 8 months to complete. Hey that's leisure reading ;) ) I think you get the point. I have a few original story ideas which will take a great deal of crafting and polishing off before I decide to showcase them here. I don't know that there is too much else to say except thanks for letting me read and give feedback on your stories and I look forward to seeing what this fanfiction relationship brings. |
