Aloha everyone! My name is Senari, an up-coming author who lives off the wide streets of Manhattan, New York. Well, I don't exactly "live" off of them, but you get the metaphor. As someone who enjoys spending her time with a good book and a pen, you can imagine it doesn't really get me very far on Wall Street! I'm largely a non-fiction writer, but my boyfriend and colleges showed me this site. They said if I wanted to get in with the times, I had to add a little bit of flare to my writing: which definitely meant that I had to get onto the mainstream world! Having gone to college in order to specialize in my isolated way of writing, it's taught me one thing: no two people ever write the same. Instructors, students; each have their own independent style. That's why I'm relying on you, good people, to try to teach me different things. I'll be looking at everything, although I'm incredibly new to the whole 'anime' or 'fandom' thing. The only ones I know even a lick of are the following: - Avatar: The Last Airbender - Black Butler (Never got through it thanks to busy classes, but it's the thought that counts!) - Harry Potter (I was a book nerd as a kid, my friends.) - Riviera: The Promised Land (Old school gaming.) - Final Fantasy - Pokemon-Digimon (Who doesn't know of these guys?) - Mobile Suit Gundam Wing - Higurashi no Naku Koro ni - Doctor Who As you can probably tell, I don't really get out much. I'm the very image of a stereotypical artist, locked up in my house and barely able to be moved from my chair. My publisher and agent both have been telling me to try and broaden my horizon, though, and to get out there and appeal to all the hip-young people. So, if you have any suggestions, fire away! My number one goal is to be the best author I can be for my audience, and if that means surfing through millions of short stories, then bring it on. I'm not one to really 'comment' on much, but I may upon occasion. To pay the bills on my apartment I do have to have a job, so I work part-time for a news business nearby. When I'm not writing my own books based off my studies of pathological science, I'm busy reporting on it! This means I'll have a pretty tight schedule for when I can sit down in front of my apartment's run down fireplace and kick my feet up to read everything new. I will be able to periodically, however, and I'll try to the best I can! Until I get more confident with my work, I'll keep my rough short-stories to myself and will only post if I feel it'll be noticed. I hope you all don't mind another silent stalker! Cheers'm, Senari Falls |
