Author has written 9 stories for CSI, Angel, and Bones. Well, hello there! Thanks for dropping by. I'm a 23 year old Brit chick, splitting my time between London and Manchester, and I'm brand spankingly new to this whole fanfiction malarky but I intend to give it my best shot. Let me know what you think about it (come on, be as harsh as you like, I can take it!) and I'll return the favour. If you just fancy a chat, drop me a line. I'm usually pretty good at responding. I said usually... The fanfic I'm planning on writing is mainly CSI, Bones or Angel though I love reading pretty much everything. If you like my writing, check out my Bones fan video at YouTube.com at: And the second one (which I made while stranded on Boxing Day - what a joyous christmas) is here: Well, the easiest way is just to go to this address to check out my fanvids & clips from my favourite shows: Ok, so here's a little about me: Education: Just in case you care, I graduated with a 2:1 BA (Hons) degree in English and American Literature with International Politics in July 2006. Go me! I really wish I was a student again though... Favourite books: Too many to mention but has to include all the Patricia Cornwell 'Scarpetta' series, Birdsong by Sebastian Faulks, 'C: Because Cowards Get Cancer Too' by John Diamond, the Harry Potter books, 'Dry' by Augusten Burrows and 'The Handmaid's Tale' by Margaret Atwood. Poetry-wise, you can't beat a great Shakespearean sonnet. Failing that, I love Philip Larkin, Emily Dickinson, Wendy Cope (bloody hilarious) and WH Auden Favourite movies: Again, too many to mention (my DVD collection just hit 350...) but has to include '28 Days Later', 'Apocalypse Now', 'Bourne Supremacy', 'Edward Scissorhands', 'Eternal Sunshine of a Spotless Mind', 'Goodfellas', 'Pirates of The Carribean: The Curse of The Black Pearl' 'Pulp Fiction', 'The Shawshank Redemption', 'Stand By Me' and all the Lord of the Rings films. (That was alphabetical not order of preference by the way... Favourite TV:Again alphabetically, 24, Angel, Band of Brothers, Bones (though it's tough to get in the UK), Buffy, CSI Vegas (just the original for me thanks), Desperate Housewives, The Daily Show, Doctor Who (new version only, not the old school stuff), Eastenders, Hustle, Lost, Scrubs, Ugly Betty and West Wing (I'm mourning its end...). Favourite music: I'm pretty eclectic but on my iPod right now is Nina Simone, Counting Crows, Green Day, Rosie Thomas, Massive Attack, Aretha Franklin, Dirty Pretty Things, Queen, Coldplay, Arctic Monkeys, Faithless, Peaches, Oasis, Alanis Morrisette, The Beatles, Judas Priest, The Stone Roses, The Killers, Elton John, Nirvana, Stereophonics, Elvis, Scissors Sisters, Sarah McLachlan, Razorlight, Snow Patrol, Amy Winehouse (even though I think she's a vile person) and many many more... Favourite comedy: Anything by Monty Python or Eddie Izzard. Bloody genius! I also love Peter Kay, and Jon Stewart on The Daily Show just kills me every night! Favourite quotes: "The only things you really regret are the things you didn't do" - Cameron Duncan, "We are all lying in the gutter, but some of us are looking to the stars" - Oscar Wilde, "Dig up the past and all you get is dirty" - Minority Report, "Courage is not the absence of fear but the realisation that there's something more important", "Nobody expects the Spanish Inquistion", "In the desert there is no sign that says , Thou shalt not eat stones", "I'm from Europe, you know, where the history comes from", Nolite tes bastardes carborundurum (don't let the bastards grind you down). And if you read all that, you're a better man than me. Mind you, I'm a woman... Lola |
