![]() My own personal video collection: X-Men and Grey's Anatomy (Harry Potter soon to be included). Currently, I'm into both X-Men and Harry Potter fan fiction. I may or may not post my own stories someday; for now, I just read and review them. I offer constructive criticism opposed to flames; I can be a real pain in the ass, though, so I encourage people to tell me that if it makes them uncomfortable. Some authors don't appreciate being criticized and I respect that. When I come across a story that is generally okay but still needs improvement, I point it out. Not because I think I would make a better job (I probably wouldn't) but because I don't think any writer will get anywhere with reviews like 'Awesome fic' and 'Update soon' alone. Unless there's nothing to point out, there is. I write long reviews, unless my attention span isn't doing very well that day... I usually go for the general motto: if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all. # Favorite couples: (You would never guess I ship canon but ah-ha, I do -proud of herself-) X-Men Pyro/Rogue (movieverse) Colossus/Shadowcat Deadpool/Siryn Gambit/Rogue Couples from Evo that are: weird/amusing/controversial (aka NOT Scott/Jean-ish) Harry Potter James/Lily Draco/Hermione Remus/Tonks Other canon Sirius/Lily Remus/Lily Ron/Hermione Harry/Ginny (mostly because of J/L, the generation gap just amuses me) Scorpius/Rose (JKR's treat to all the (frustrated) Draco/Hermione fans out there? Mmmmm, me likey) Warming up to the whole Remus/Hermione idea... Besides my most profound admiration for professor/student relationships (clichéd, but who cares?), they have a lot of stuff in common which enables them to get together, despite their age... So yeah. Oh, and death to Snape/Lily. And Snape/Hermione. And just Snape too. Yes, yes, even after DH, I don't like the guy :( I'm not a big fan of slash/yaoi fics and I especially dislike femslash/yuri ones; yet I am not opposed to them. I guess it really depends on the pairing and how well written it is. I've read good slash stories, but I've also read bad ones. More specifically, I've been in contact with both Sirius/Remus (HP) and Pyro/Iceman (X-Men) for a long time now. I was genuinely surprised to find them not as repellent as I originally predicted. I guess the fact that I choose to read fics in which their relationship was not physical but instead emotionally developed really helped with my acceptance. Oh, I've read smut/lemons. But to be quite honest I didn't find them the slightest bit appealing compared to the mentioned above. I'm sticking with het fiction, though.. at least I tried. . . -grins- Favorite genres: Angst, drama, suspense, mystery, crime, adventure, horror. But it really depends on my mood: sometimes I go for humor and parodies and it's nearly impossible to escape romance, so. Everything remotely important about my fan fiction persona is here, though being the inconstant person I am, this profile is prone to change... Very likely. |
