Author has written 1 story for Hunger Games.

Okay, so...I'll start off by saying I don't do fan fiction. That being said, ha! Look at this. I'm doing fan fiction.

I've had pretty nerdy tendencies since childhood, preferring American History and Greek mythology to Barbies and boy bands. I moved on to Star Wars when the prequels came out, as it had always been a thing of my family's for as long as I can remember; the soundtrack in my house on the weekends were Star Wars marathons. When I bought my first TV at age 13, A New Hope was it's christening.

I'll admit (thanks, anonymity) that I did write Star Wars fan fiction. It was kind of by accident, and was written round robin with a friend that I met on a Star Wars message board. What we wrote ended up amounting to about 1,000 pages worth of work. About three people know that I've written it, and none of them have been allowed to read it. It's private, ridiculous, and I love that story more than I love most people.

After that, I resigned myself to a life of normalcy. I got a boyfriend, went to college, graduated, moved out and on to an internship and a respect-less job. I realized I was going no where, got my Master's in business, and am in the process of completing a pretty giant life change. I'm moving from one coast to another, fretting over the fact that the move will be subsidized by credit cards, and worrying whether or not I'll be able to find a job on said coast. Good time to dive back into the escapism of literature, no?

I spent May and June reading the entire Harry Potter series, which I'd never done. Those months were the last of my Master's program, and the series was the perfect antidote/cause of my senioritis. The reading bug bit me, so when I friend lent me The Hunger Games, I was more than ready. I devoured the books, but they left me wanting more. I kind of hate first-person perspective, because I think it leaves out a lot, and spending so much time with one person is exhausting. I started wondering about other characters in the trilogy, turned to fanfiction.net, and the rest is history!

I've written this one story. I kinda like it, and I kinda want to know what other people think of it. I love writing, and I wish more than anything that I could come up with original settings and characters...but I can't. At least not right now. So, I'll play and expound on other people's world to stretch my creative muscles!
