![]() Author has written 4 stories for Sailor Moon, Final Fantasy VIII, and Final Fantasy X-2. Name: Sharii The name hypaalicious stems from the root word of hypaa, which is derived from the standardized English word of hyper. My nickname, formally known as "Da Hypaa", means "the One that is Hyper". And that I am. Sure, I'm as cynical and angsty just like any other person at times, but for the most part, I seem to have an unquenchable source of energy that appears every now and then that causes me bounce off of the walls in a hilarious or insane manner. I love reading, and I love writing, and I definitely love listening to a plethora of Electronica... along with a bunch of other things that include but are not limited to sleeping, practicing Chinese martial arts, and playing video games. When I write, I do it in spurts and I am subject to really long Writer's Block periods that can last for over a year (see Severed Reality). I also take three times as long to write a single chapter than would most people. People might think I have died at times, and I don't like the impromptu hiatus I pull every now and then either, but sometimes it can't be helped since life inevitably gets in the way at the worst times. I live off of weaving fictional universes with the one we live in and making it work as flawlessly as possible. We play, read, or watch our chosen fandoms constantly, yet we're aware that they are a world similar yet so far apart from our own, perhaps some kind of fantasy or ideal; I consider it my duty to bridge that gap and bring it close to home. I also don't beg for reviews; the best way to ruin any ounce of respect for yourself as an author is beg or threaten to cease writing for reviews. Yes, it's nice to receive them, and I myself do a little dance whenever someone feels compelled enough to leave something informative on whatever story I've attempted to write. But for as much as none of us are getting paid for our various efforts at bastardizing our most beloved fandoms, I still opt for remaining professional. I'm picky as heck about what I read on ff.net, I will admit this. The longer the piece the better, as I feel one-shots lack depth or should be a full blown story. I am more likely to favorite individual stories than the authors themselves. I also lurk around fictionpress.com staking out original stories that are less likely to numb my brain with the cliches that are rampant in most fanfiction. Of course, fictionpress has its own cliches, but sometimes those are easier to bear. I will contribute my works to any other fandom as I see fit, but I don't usually stay to browse unless something REALLY catches my eye. As such, I am a horrible person to rely on when it comes to leaving reviews; I'm too lazy sometimes to even log in and add a story to my favorites list. I apologize for that; I should be less lazy. But I'm not. Cacophonia/Severed Reality fans: I'm updating the fics. Content isn't changing save for one added chapter in Cacophonia which will cause me to change the rating from T to M. Not sorry about it, either. Other than that, mostly cosmetic changes, minor edits to grammar and sentence structure are to come. This unfortunately means that all of my dated A/N and personalized replies to then-fans of the work are gonna be lost in the process... but know I still love all y'all. If you even come to this site anymore, idk, LOL I'm on Tumblr now? Beware; lots of shitposting and NSFW abounds. And if you can't guess what my username on Tumblr is, then you haven't been paying any attention, LOL. |
