It's now December 26, 2008. This is what I wrote the last time:

Hello, it's May 4, 2008.

Major setbacks has caused a delay in my promised stories.

Husband's health - two major surgeries. Mother-in-law and mother both with cancer and their ends are near.

Been caught up reading Scottish Highland romance novels. Sigh.

Anyhoo...

Good news / bad news.

Good news - Both of my Erik/Meg stories are about 98 percent complete. One story is the three-book involving E/M, R/C and then both couples in the final installation. The other story is a modern Erik/Meg love story. Not too many modern stories involve Erik/Meg, so I hope this one will go over well with EM fans.

Bad news - My beta/proofreader is my husband. He's about recovered from those surgeries and will soon tackle the handling of his mother's care and her estate when she passes on; she' 79 and her health is falling very quickly, she probably won't live past summer.

I have moved all my blatherings over to a blog - phantomphile.blogspot.com, so if you want to read about my feelings concerning Phantom of the Opera, the movie; the characters; and especially - why Erik and Meg belong together, then head on over there. Leave a message if you wish, but be forewarned, I am a very ardent Erik/Meg fan and my stories will never have Erik and Christine paired together. Ever. Well, maybe to start with, but the never 'happily ever after' - nope, nah-uh. Erik and Meg forever!

So okay, things did not improve in the last seven months!

Nope. First, my mother-in-law did not live past summer, she passed away July 9th.

Two weeks later, my dad was hospitalized. He never left the hospital - he was hospitalized from the end of June until October 16th, when he passed away from heart failure. My mother's health is failing (no surprise there since she and my dad were married for almost 61 years).

I have absolutely NO intention of abandoning my writing. I vow, I will post my Meg/Erik stories as soon as they are ready! Really! I know I've been saying that for two years, but real life happens. To get back into the mood, I have bought the Blu-Ray version of POTO and plan on watching it on my HD big screen tv. Now that's incentive, right?

Hope everything is going well in your own lives, and thank you for looking at my profile - you will be rewarded with at least two stories soon.
