![]() Author has written 7 stories for Dragon Ball Z/Sailor Moon, Gundam Wing/Sailor Moon, Harry Potter, and Supernatural. I always have a hard time doing bios for some reason or another, so I tend to put them off for another time. However, since I have now been a member of ff.net for almost eleven… Eleven?! Holy crap that’s forever – any who I’ve been here eleven years and I don’t think I have posted a bio ever in that time span. Of course the fact that sometimes I have terrible bouts of completely hating everything that passes through my fingers, which could aid to the lack of a proper bio being posted. That and the number of incomplete stories I have. I start something and then I either don’t get much in the way of feedback, or life happens, but for whatever reason I just drop from the planet and the story slowly rots waiting for an update. Every once in a while I’ll return here, mostly to read, and will feel the need to write something. I have a few original stories floating around in my head but I fear the same thing would happen to them. Not to mention the amount of work that goes into plotting and drafting each character, developing them into actual flawed individuals instead of just some flimsy idea of what they should be. When I let people read some of the things I have written in the past I am told that I am a wonderful writer and some even mentioned I should pursue a career in writing. I have thought about it though, writing makes me happy when I am interested in the thing I am writing about. I think that may be why I’ve belted out a good 4 chapters of Saving Sam as fast as I have. In the back of my mind I think writing for television or a movie would be fun. Looking back on the number of stories I have written I am slightly ashamed at even posting them. The earlier ones especially with their play like format, it just seems awkward for me to look at now. Of course I was only 14 when I had posted them, and they were pretty short chapters. I think my current chapters are pretty short still but I am working on length. Here I am rambling on, something I sometimes do, but I am going to get back on track. I use the username firetigerki pretty regularly, though I do tend to go by other things as well. Over the years I have felt less attached to the username than I was when I started using it, but I can’t think of a good name to replace it with. For the sake of simplicity I will list my likes, dislikes, hobbies, and other things. Likes: -Movies: Serenity, Dirty Dancing, The Three Musketeers (the 1993 version with Charlie Sheen and Tim Curry). Many, many others but those three are pretty much my three go-to movies. -Music: Metal and Rock. Pretty much my entire music collection is some sort of one or the other. I do have a few oddballs. Like random stuff from musicals, anime or the occasional country and/or rap song. -Books: A Song of Ice and Fire, Harry Potter Series, The Hunger Games Trilogy, Twilight? (I read it, yes, but only to find out what was so damned great about it. To hear my sister describe it Twilight was epic Tolkien scale. Imo if you want Tolkien scale epicness in a book check out A Song of ice and Fire by George R.R. Martin. Or just simply watch Game of Thrones if reading is not your thing.) Dislikes: -I’m pretty easy to please so I don’t have very many dislikes. I guess overall I am impatient, when it comes to waiting for updates on a story or new seasons to come out on shows I like. Prime example of this would be the fact that if I find a show that I get into and I know that it has multiple seasons for me to catch up on. I will obsessively watch all the seasons in a stupidly short time frame. I did it with Doctor Who (87 episodes at roughly 45-50 minutes each – finished in 8 days.) You get the picture. But the trouble with doing it this way is you immerse yourself into the story so deeply that when you lack a new episode you just feel blah. Also you tend to develop interesting side effects… like when I finished Doctor Who I would read something in my head with a British accent. Even now sometimes when I talk I’ll pick up a random accent. Hobbies: -Games: World of Warcraft, Guild Wars, The Witcher 2, League of Legends, Words with Friends lol. Many others. -Other: There are two events yearly that I look forward to and those are the Highland Games and the Renaissance Festival. I am one of the crazy people who go to the Ren Fair in costume, I admit it. But you have to realize the fact that I usually travel there with a group of 10 or so people… maybe 1 person is not in costume while the rest are. It’s great fun. I would like to start getting into the convention thing. I have watched videos on youtube from Dragon*con and Comic-con and they just seem fascinating. I wish I lived closer to where they are held and/or had the money to attend. Whew, I’ve rambled, I should end this now. I would like to say that if you found this from one of my stories (probably Saving Sam) I would like to thank you for reading my story. |
