Right. I'm not usually very good at filling out personal profiles (I had to do one at school once and my teacher sent it back to me three times saying I needed to re-do it). And whenever I read other people's profiles (no offence Other People) they always sound really thick and blocky (which is exactly what mine is going to end up like). Like, they sound like police reports, you know? Statement after statement after statement... Either that or they've made some picture using various emoticons or symbols on their PC's keyboard (guys, it's really pretty but it doesn't really tell me anything about you besides the fact that you have so much time on your hands... So says the author of fanfiction).

So I guess I'll just... wing it?

Favourite Things -

Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens... etc. Let's face it - I hate Sound of Music. I used to love it, but now I'm resentful because I got under-studied as one of the minor characters (I love minor characters, I'll say why in a second, but that point is moot right now). I know it sounds shallow that I hate something because something else didn't go my way (but who isn't like that? I mean really, we all pretend to be so nice and lovely but everyone has a little cornel of hatred inside them (it's okay, you can tell us)).

Right, ballet. (I don't do it seeing as I'm not motivated enough to even wear a leotard. So I can't hate it seeing as I've never had anything specifically go wrong with it). My favourite ballets right now are Don Quixote and Giselle (I love the ballroom scene in Quixote with Don and Kitri, and the forest scene with the drowning of Hillarion in Giselle is wonderfully haunting). I love how ballerinas and danseaurs look so elegant and gentle looking on the stage but at the same time you know that they're using so much effort and control just to stay on their pointe shoes. It's almost other worldly.

Opera. I got my first opera crush when I watched Quantum of Solace with my dad and I kept asking about the opera they featured in it - Tosca. Now I watch so much opera on youtube it's unbelievable. My favourite right now is Faust, hands down. I love Mephistopheles (I know he's the evil guy but I'm a sucker for baritones.

And finally, books. Words - eat, sleep and breathe 'em. I started reading when I got given a copy of The List of 7 by Mark Frost (fantastic book, BTW, deserves a lot more love) and from then on out I read every day. I have a strange habit of forming attatchments to obscure minor characters in novels (I go into full on fan-girl mode whenever anyone mentions either Algy from The Importance of Being Earnest or Enjolras from Les Miserables). Right now, in fact, I'd have to say Les Miserables is tying with Dracula for the top place on my bookshelf...

So. That all sounded really police-reporty. Hmm.

I'm off to write!

Adieu :)

P.S. see, I did one smiley-face-emoticon-thingy. I'm really proud of my main-streaming.

The Wretched reviews
Sections of the novel told through the perspectives of another character, or rewritten. Enjolras harasses Grantaire, Gavroche harasses Cosette, Marius harasses the Les Amis, and maybe Javert's fictional girfriend will harass him (at some point). Just basically a whole lot of harassing. Trying to keep this as un-depressing as possible guys! But there are some sad, dark moments :(
