Author has written 1 story for Tinkerbell.

"Literature gives us an internal compass, a way to negotiate all life’s rough and tumble. It gives us insight, empathy, direction and warning. It is a concordance for the physical world, a magnificent prism through which reality is refracted. Much loved passages whisper in our ears. Long-dead authors hold us by the hand. Half-forgotten poems fill our mouths. Literature is present at the birth of our first child and the ordering of our morning coffee. It fills us."

Profile

Hey! It's nice to see you actually open my profile when what I write in my profile page are, personally saying, super boring stuff. Feel free to roam around and find as much information about me here, though!

Name: Aria

Age: Pretty young. I can only say that I'm in high school.

Hobby: mostly things that includes art; like singing, reading books, playing music instruments, painting, and writing; but there's also loving animals excessively and watching movies, so I can't really say that my hobby is all about art.

About me: I am a girl that spends most of her time inside her room to kill time, doing those art activities that she likes. I'm not shy; I'm just quiet. There's a HUGE difference between those two words, okay? I do not come from England or Australia or America (or any other countries that have English as their main language), so English is not my first language—although I'm trying to master it. I love literature, especially writing them. I join English literature class at school and I have a personal collection of poems and short stories in my laptop! I'll upload them here because that's pretty much my intention of creating this account. I'd really love to discuss about my intentions of joining, but we'll get to that later in the introduction section. Hmm…what else? I have 7 cats inside my house, and the dearest of them all is named Berlioz, a black and fluffy cat with piercing yellow-amber eyes that tends to creep me out sometimes. I rant too much inside my head but I never say it out loud, so I express most of those thoughts by writing them down on a piece of paper.

I just realized that I'm putting too much words here, so I'll stop.

Introduction

So, what are my intentions of posting my writings here?

I gave up on writing once, but as I started to read more novels, my writing sense just couldn't help but to kick in and kept on urging me to write again, even if my writings sucked (they still do, by the way). I rarely shared my writings with my friends. I mostly showed them to my sister and cousins and friends that were really close to me. But at the same time, I needed more feedbacks. I felt like if I want to improve my writing, I'll need feedbacks from a bunch of people and I couldn't just share my writings with the whole class. That'd be public humiliation. So I figured that, hey, this website is just perfect to improve my writing!

Not only improving, I also wanted entertain people with my stories and poems. I love seeing people's face lit up or went all sulky and sad when they read my stories because they're too absorbed in it. I wanted to pull people into the world of my imagination, sharing the indescribable feeling of how wonderful it is when you go there—and there's no better way to pull them in than through writings. That is why I joined.

I’m not really good at closing things, so...I guess that's all. Thank you for all of the people that have and will review(ed) my stories because it means a lot to me. Don't hesitate to bring out the weaknesses in them because that's kind of why I want you guys to read them!

I've been thinking about giving each of my stories a 'book cover'. There's this current school project that I'm working on in which I will have to paint (specifically with watercolor), and I want to use this opportunity to also enhance my stories. I'm so excited that I couldn't wait to buy the art supplies and start to work on the paintings. The main objective of the project is actually the selling part of it, so...I guess I have to be honest that I also can't wait to gain money from it!
