Well then, where do we begin?

My name is Marco Alberts (of course it's a fake name), and I'm a freshmen at Ohio University. I aspire to either major in journalism or film, but my chances of getting into the colleges for them is slim, so I may just transfer somewhere else. I grew up in a semi-small town/city sort of thing, so when I write, it tends to take place in a setting similar to that.

I really enjoy writing, and have written several short stories (all original). I have tried to dabble in FF ever since I was in seventh grade, but everything I wrote was complete shit, so I either decided not to post it here, or I took it down soon after I posted it. Hopefully I'll get it right this time.

Most of my stories have a sort of bleak/depressing feel to them. Fuck you if you think it's emo, because it isn't. I don't go all "boo-hoo, no one loves me" at night. I do tend to have a negative outlook on the world, but I prefer to think of this as a realistic approach to life. This is reflected in my writing to some degree, and I often populate my stories with people who walk in morally gray areas, or are apathetic to the horrible things in life happening around them.
