Things I dislike: Garbage My brother Flamers Bullies Control freaks GYM CLASS UGH! Any artist with songs that are litterally only about sex, drugs, getting wasted, or about how they're better than everyone else. In other words: Most rap songs, songs by Ke$ha, and a bunch of others I can't think of at the moment. People who think they're perfect. (No joke; I've actually witnessed someone say that they thought they were perfect in every way. And they were being comepletely serious...) Anyone who thinks they're the best at anything without proof. Things that taste bitter. People who only care for themselves. People who try to make other people jealous of them. (I actually have a story for this one. One of my "friends" (she's not anymore) was always bragging about how hot and sexy her boyfriend was when she knew that I had never had, and still don't have, a boyfriend. Seriously, she did it constantly and was always saying things like: "Kalie, don't you think Andy is just SO sexy?" and "I'm lucky to be his girlfriend; he said I'm the hottest girl he's ever seen before!" Yeah. But she said those things in a way that sounded like she was saying: "I'm prettier than you/You're not sexy like me." or "You havn't even had your first boyfriend and I'm already on my 35th; and he's sexy to boot!" I don't know if he was her 35th or not, but I do know he was far from being her first. Sorry for the rant, but I can't stand people who do that ESPECIALLY to their friends.) People who always try to be right in every situation/think they're always right. (I have another rant, so once again: Sorry! ^.^ll This one's much longer, so I wouldn't read this unless you feel like being bored to death by my examples/problems. It's about the same person, just so you know. Whenever I tried to have an argument with her, she'd always try to convince me--and herself--that she was right. Example: On the way back from visiting her boyfriend (that was another way to try and make me jealous since they'd always kiss in front of me and pretty much pretend I wasn't there) she was saying some of the things I listed above, and I sorta snapped. Here's how it went down: Brie: Oh my gosh, but all my friends agree. He is SOOOOO sexy! Even you agree-- Me: THAT IS ENOUGH BRIE! I know you're trying to make me jealous, and it's not working. Brie: *Blinks innocently* What the heck are you talking about? I wouldn't do that to you! And what even makes you think that I was trying to make you jealous? Me: Well, you're always saying how sexy he is and how lucky you are to be his GF around me, yet when we're around more of your friends and he's brought into the conversation you just talk about a date you had with him recently and you don't say anything about him being sexy or hot or anything like that. You don't even tell them how he's you're umpteenth boyfriend. Brie: Well I didn't realize that I was doing that, so I'm sorry, I guess. But I'm not trying make you jealous. In fact, you wouldn't even bring this up unless you really are jealous of me. It's not healthy to be jealous of someone for something as trivial as Andy, Kalie. Me: *Takes deep breath and reminds self that murder can get you life in prison* I am NOT jealous of you, Brieana. I don't care how sexy or hot Andy is. I don't care about what he tells you or how much he says it. I'm content with the way I look, firstly. And I also don't care if you think I'm not as pretty or as sexy as you, because that doesn't matter to me. Finally, stop talking so much about how many boyfriends you've had and how Andy is the 'hottest one yet', because I don't want a boyfriend. It's pointless to have one in middle school. Brie: I never said that you weren't pretty or that I thought I was sexier than you! And it wouldn't matter to you how many times I've said how hot Andy unless you WERE jealous. Just admit it, I don't care. At that point, I just rolled my eyes and ignored her the rest of the way back, which is the best way to deal with her, as sad as that sounds. As soon as I got to her house, I got on my bike and rode back home. While I was still in earshot she said one last thing before going back inside: "Quit sitting around being jealous of me and just get yourself a boyfriend!" End of rant#2.) People who make a big fuss over being in a relationship at my age (Preteen-early teen; 14 in my case). (Wow 3 rants, I'm on a roll! DON'T BOTHER READING THIS! I'm writing this down cause I've only told one person so far about these things, but not in detail. I don't feel better unless I type it out/ talk it out in detail and I've kept this in for at least 7 months. Again; same person. Here's how this little conversation went down. This is just my opinion, don't sue me XP: Brie: It's just so GREAT being in love! Me: *With false sincerity* Yep! (I said it like I was being sincere, but I rolled my eyes. Unfortunatly for me, I had been reading a book at the time she said this, so I didn't see her turn around in time to see me roll my eyes.) Brie: Did you just roll your eyes at me? Me: *Looks up with all false sincerity gone* Actually, yes. I did. Brie: Wow, that TOTALLY makes me believe you're not jealous... *glares at me* Me: *Cocks an eyebrow* I'm not jealous, and if I was, then that's not even the reason I rolled my eyes. Brie: Oh yeah, then why did you?! Me: Because, being in a relationship at this age is pointless. Brie: What?! No it's not! Me: Actually, it pretty much IS. The chances of you finding the person you're going to be with for the rest of your life, especially at this age, are so slim that it'd be less trouble just to wait until you're older. Brie: Yeah, well you have a crush on David, so don't go around telling me that it's pointless! Me: I said relationships are pointless, I've had a crush on him for at least 3 years-- Brie: WOAH! Forget crush, you've gotta be in love if you've liked him for that long! Me: Can I finish please? Regaurdless of whether it's a simple crush or love; having a relationship this early in life is pretty much pointless because you're most likely to break up with him sooner or later. Brie: Yeah, well, so what? I know he's probably not 'the one', but I just wanna be his GF for a while. What's wrong with that? Me: That actually kind of makes it sound like you're just his girlfriend for a joyride. No offense. Feel free to disagree with me on that one, or any one of these rants XD) My brother. We just don't get along. Alarm clocks that wake you up with a repetetive and high pitched beeping sound. That sound makes me want to punch a wall!!! Nightmares. They make me feel unsafe when I'm asleep, and that a prob for me because that's one of the only places I truly feel safe. Cheesey romantic comedies that are super predictable. Can't stand em =P Any Axe deoderant except for chocolate Axe. They all give me headaches except the chocolate XD Most country songs. Nothing against country and country lovers, it just isn't my type of music ^_^ll And keep in mind that I said MOST. Miley Cyrus. Sorry, just don't like her. The Jonus Brothers. Again, not really clicking with me XD Having to draw hands. I LOVE drawing, but drawing the hands can be SUCH a pain... Sunday nights. During the night on Sunday, all I can think about is how I have to go to school the next day XD People who complain about having bad grades when they obviously don't try to get good grades. If you're going to complain, then TRY, IDIOT!!!! People who think that anime/manga stlye drawings don't count as art. I've met a few, trust me; they're downers. Flamers. Not really because they're mean, I think they could just say: Don't like the story/drawing/ect, sorry. But no. They have to go around saying stuff like: THAT SUCKED AND YOU SUCK QUIT MAKING STUFF CUZ YOU'LL NEVER GET BETTER!!! It's a waste of time for them to write, and it's a waste of time for the artist/writer/ect to read. People who try to go around critiqueing other peoples' work when they can't even do what they're critiqueing. People who whine about getting 2nd or 3rd place as opposed to 1st. Be happy that you even got a place, because (depending on what you do) there's probably people who don't even place at all. People who think it's OK to trace someone's art without giving credit. Saying: ORIGINAL ISN'T MINE isn't enough, give a name/username so we can at least SEE the original. The phrase: "Practice makes perfect!" No; practice makes BETTER. Dead/dying plants. =[ Not being able to fall asleep (especially on a school night Dll). Fried chicken. The word mucus...ugh. Walmart. It's more of a grocery store now. People who EXPECT tons of gifts on any gift-giving ocasion. Ever heard of 'you get what you get and you don't have a fit'? Horror movies that aren't scary. Whistling. People who tap/drum on their desks during class. People who use 'fantabulous' at any time, EVER. Losing at solitaire. People who think theater is gay. (Maybe I should make this a 'things and people I dislike' list XD) Unrequited love...=[ Bad advice. Warm soda. Here's a sad story: I was walking around in a Target store, when I saw a cashier hand this little boy some money back. The boy couldn't have been more than 5 or 6 years old. The cashier said, "I'm sorry, but you don't have enough money to buy this doll." Then the little boy turned to the old woman next to him: ''Granny, are you sure I don't have enough money?'' The old lady replied: ''You know that you don't have enough money to buy this doll, my dear.'' Then she asked him to stay there for just 5 minutes while she went to look a round. She left quickly. The little boy was still holding the doll in his hand. Finally, I walked toward him and I asked him who he wished to give this doll to. "It's the doll that my sister loved most and wanted so much for Christmas. She was sure that Santa Claus would bring it to her." I replied to him that maybe Santa Claus would bring it to her afterall, and not to worry. But he replied to me sadly. "No, Santa Claus can't bring it to her where she is now. I have to give the doll to my mommy so that she can give it to my sister when she goes there." His eyes were so sad while saying this. "My sister has gone to be with God. Daddy says that Mommy is going to see God very soon too, so I thought that she could take the doll with her to give it to my sister.'' My heart nearly stopped. The little boy looked up at me and said: "I told daddy to tell mommy not to go yet. I need her to wait until I come back from the mall." Then he showed me a very nice photo of him where he was laughing. He then told me "I want mommy to take my picture with her so she won't forget me. I love my mommy and I wish she doesn't have to leave me, but daddy says that she has to go to be with my little sister." Then he looked again at the doll with sad eyes, very quietly. I quickly reached for my wallet and said to the boy. "Suppose we check again, just in case you do have enough money for the doll?'' "OK," he said, "I hope I do have enough." I added some of my money to his without him seeing and we started to count it. There was enough for the doll and even some spare money. The little boy said: "Thank you God for giving me enough money!" Then he looked at me and added, "I asked last night before I went to sleep for God to make sure I had enough money to buy this doll, so that mommy could give it to my sister. He heard me!'' "I also wanted to have enough money to buy a white rose for my mommy, but I didn't dare to ask God for too much. But He gave me enough to buy the doll and a white rose.'' "My mommy loves white roses." A few minutes later, the old lady returned and I left with my basket. I finished my shopping in a totally different state from when I started. I couldn't get the little boy out of my mind. Then I remembered a local newspaper article two days ago, which mentioned a drunk man in a truck, who hit a car occupied by a young woman and a little girl. The little girl died right away, and the mother was left in a critical state. The family had to decide whether to pull the plug on the life-sustaining machine, because the young woman would not be able to recover from the coma. Was this the family of the little boy? Two days after this encounter with the little boy, I read in the newspaper that the young woman had passed away. I couldn't stop myself as I bought a bunch of white roses and I went to the funeral home where the body of the young woman was exposed for people to see and make last wishes before her burial. She was there, in her coffin, holding a beautiful white rose in her hand with the photo of the little boy and the doll placed over her chest. I left the place, teary-eyed, feeling that my life had been changed forever.. The love that the little boy had for his mother and his sister is still, to this day, hard to imagine. And in a fraction of a second, a drunk driver had taken all this away from him. Now you have 2 choices: 1) Repost this message. 2) Ignore it as if it never touched your heart I'll put more when I think of more XD Okay... Well I'm in middle school, but only for about 30 more days soooo XD. I'm definately going to be writing some Pokemon fanfics. I support CONTESTSHIPPING, POKESHIPPING, and probably Ikarishipping as soon as I find proof by watching the episodes online. I've heard there's a couple momments. The stories I write, depiending on the anime, will most likely be humor/romances. I'll start off with a one-shot unless I can think of a good chapter fic right off the bat or something =P. That's all for now! Keep on rockin'! -Kalie |
