AU Magnus and Alec are assigned as pen pals for an English assignment in school. They get to know each other through their letters. What starts as an assignment turns to more over the course of the semester.

This short story was inspired by the current crisis brewing between Alec and Magnus in season 3 of the Shadowhunters TV show.
