![]() It's great to be back in the wagon so to say. Some people may remember a story that was on here called Kalista Honeywell. Well, after not updating it for over a year, I decided to pull it until I was ready to work on it some more. I've been reading fanfiction for several years now. My two mostly read fandoms are Harry Potter and Twilight. I am a Potterhead and Twihard through and through. For me, I began reading Harry Potter when the fourth book came out, so it was very difficult for me to wait for the books to release. I would be waiting on pins and needles. Twilight was different. I went to the book store and saw a display for the books and picked the first one up after the book store lady recommended it. I read through it in one night. The next day I went back to the book store and bought the other three (the last book had JUST come out). Yes, I've seen all the movies and read all the books. But I also love a lot of other writers. The Warden is amazing! I would love a brother one day. But I also enjoy reading Leigh, Kenyon, Ione, Adrian, and Hamilton (those are my romance authors). I also have enjoyed Christian fiction and find myself reading books that get nods for being good literature. I will try to read anything. But I am not paranoid to the point that if I pick up a book I have to finish. I have no problem leaving it for another one. This is my first published fanfiction since I got sick in 2011. Like I said earlier, I did have a story up, but after I got sick, I was no where near at the ability to write more. I pulled it for a future day if I feel like I can continue that story. But, I have been dabbling with some ideas, and after typing for the past several days on an idea, I feel that I have something that I would like to give to you to read. A little about updates. I hope to update at least once a week. I already have 11 chapters written in my Unknown Heir story, but I'm continually anal about grammar and spelling, so if I see something I missed, I will go back and fix it. Another note about updates. As of right now, I am stable medically. So I plan to be able to update hen I want. But my condition is unpredictable, so I must warn you that there is a possibility I may have longer wait times. (I will explain below what I have because I am a huge advocate for education awareness. It could happen to anyone!). My favorite Harry Characters are: The twins, Severus, Harry, and Hermione. My least favorite Harry Characters are: Ron, Pansy, and Sirius (sorry, I just don't like him). [But I love Gary Oldman, so the movie version was okay] My favorite Twi characters are: Charlisle, Emmett, and Edward (except in New Moon. He bothered me in that book). My least favorite Twi characters are: Jessica, Rose, and Jacob. I was diagnosed with ANCA Associate Vasculitis: Granulamatosis with Polyangiitis (GPA). In short, after time on life support and coma, I came out a little worse for wear. But I survived and my life is full of the fight now. I lost a great deal of kidney function (now only functioning with about 33% total). I had lung hemorrhaging which is stable now with no need of inhalers at the current moment. But in the future I have to keep a look out for chronic respiratory issues. And due to the medications that kept me alive and my organs working, I gained a large amount of weight, developed High Blood Pressure, and mood swings. I also have damage to my nose as well as a deviated septum which will not be corrected with surgery at the current time. I have chronic fatigue issues related to the disease and the medications that I take. GPA is a autoimmune condition because it is in essence my body creating an antibody that attacks my organs (kidneys, lungs, nose). In order to combat it, I take immunosuppresants and have infusions to stay stable. And while I am stable according to my last visit, I still have no immune system. But even with all that, I am thankful to be alive. I've learned a great deal about eating right and any exercise is good exercise. I love writing and I find it very therapeutic For several months after coming home from the hospital I was unable to write or type because my hands were so shaky and unsteady due to my medications. But slowly as I pushed myself, I've been able to get better at it again. I used to be an avid letter writer and now I am able to write letters to my friends again. I hope you enjoy my story. |
