My name is Amanda, though I'm more likely to answer to 'Run' or 'Runaround', because there are entirely too many Amanda's on this planet. I'm 17, 18 as of June 4th. I live in Dallas, TX (aka the Redneck Hellhole), and am going to be a senior in high school next year. My hobbies include horses, including my own 9-year-old paint named Orion, writing, reading, hangin' out at the weezer.com message boards (I go under runaround there, too), participating in my local FFA chapter, and bothering my friend Victoria on the phone.

I will probably only ever write in the Lord of the Rings section, though I may eventually pop up in the Daria section.

Story Updates:
Of course, the minute I start talking about a story, I get writer's block.

Anyways, an new ficlet has been posted. I'm working on a couple of good ones, so keep an eye out.

My view on slash: (Since it seems to be a hot topic here.)

I used to write in the music sections of this website before they were taken down. There, I read tons of slash, and enjoyed it, because homosexuality is a more widely accepted idea by people these days.

But, for LOTR it just doesn't seem right. I think that the relationships in the books are completely platonic. Slash just seems to put too dirty of a twist on an innocent fantasy tale.

So, although I may post slash stuff on other websites, rest assured it will not be LOTR related.
