Okay, where to begin... My name is Aryl I love reading and most days i consider myself an author, that is when i'm not comparing my writing to that of people such as Patricia Briggs. To be fair though i heard that we are our own worst critic. Every time i invite someone new over to house, they can't help but be amazed by the amount of books in my room. It just doesn't seem to be the ideal teeanage girl room, than again i was never into following the masses.
I love Patrica Briggs, she is deff a great author. Other's that fall under the favoirte catagory list are...
Cassandra Clare author of The Mortal Instruments series...
Claudia Gray author of the Evernight series...
Carrie Jones- Need & Captivate...
Lynne Ewing- Daughters of the Moon series...
P.C and Kristin Cast- House of Night Series...
L.J. Smith- Vampire Diaries series, The Secret Circle series and Dark Visions...
Christopher Pike- Thirst series...
Jeaniene Frost- Night Huntress series...
Keri Arthur- Riley Jenson Guardian series...
My Sister's Keeper...
The Time Travelers Wife...
Wuthering Heights... And many many more
Edgar Allen Poe
Anton Checkhov
I love to write poetry and i encourage people to comment my writing so that i can fix what needs to be fixed in order to make me a better writter. Also I'm a big Romance fan especially if there is some supernatural interferance, so plz plz plz let me know of some great book titles. I practically live at BnN...I waste no time when it comes to a great book.
Know it/Grow it by Spence
If we cannot accept each other- then how can we ever complain?
When we look back with malice at others and they look back to us just the same?
We’re judgemental- it’s instrumental in the loss of the faith that we had,
Condemning each other, creating our cover- to hide from the fact that we’re sad.
You know life’s not easy in this small world today
We have to see things from so many ways:
We’re seeing and knowing more than all those before,
Aware in depression of VIOLENCE-HATE-WAR!
You feel really bad when you see things that way-
A feeling of anger- that someone must pay!
But the price becomes yours- as you lead from the front
To consume and possess what you’ve been taught to want.
Distracted; you rage at the things in your face
Frustrated; cant change things- you feel a disgrace.
All those around you feel the force of your wrath
The anger misguided- you’ve strayed from the path.
But somewhere inside is a power: I know
You feel something ‘free’ and autonomy grows
You realise the strength that you had from the start
That it’s only yourself that kept it apart
Blaming no more and with no need to judge
You won’t be afraid and your stance will not budge.
You won’t seek approval for the way that you feel
You won’t be ashamed of what you say’s real
You’ll sing like a bluebird released from its cage
The truth in your free heart will temper your rage.
You know it- you grow it- the sowing of seed
That teaches- not preaches- the folly of need
You know it- you grow it- the love in your soul
That spreads unto others to their journeys goal
We travel life together- enemy and friend
Create and destroy ‘til our journeys end
But when we all die and return to the earth
It’s those that we cared for that will cherish our worth.
My Resolution
We live our entire lives without knowing what we live for.
Yet we keep walking, hoping that one day we’ll know.
We believe we are destined for greatness (who would want to believe otherwise?)
Still, the majority of us fall.
As an African American female, I am a minority,
who has chosen to rise, beat the odds and become a part of not the majority,
but a class of my own; because I am better than what you see and greater than
what you think.
My mind can rival that of the greatest because; it is
my will that carries the fire of a torch.
Let’s see how long it takes me to get where I want to be, or better yet where I need
to be.
Diagnosis of Self
I am not weak, though I have struggled.
I am not saddened though I have experienced much sorrow.
I am not tall, yet I stand above them all.
I have no sense of direction still I know to always go forward.
I have a designation and I am designated to go far.
I will walk in these shoes for miles until I know in my heart that
I have reached my ultimate goal. And I will do one better than showing you,
I will show myself that I am not just this but so much more.
Intro To: Me
I am not always right so I admit my wrongs.
I am not weak yet I am not strong and though I am no bird,
I have wings to keep me suspended as well as feet to keep me grounded.
I have a soul than can never be tainted and a heart that never grows full.
And though I may look plain and boring, I’m the best story ever told
