A bit of a tie-in with Inheritance, told from the perspective of Asuka as she struggles with motherhood and all that it entails.

Jaune Arc was the descendant of heroes who never had an honest chance to be a Hunter. Jaune was just a common criminal who never had a choice in the matter. Falls from grace are never elegant, and Jaune's is no different. A story told in shorts, with an emphasis on 'short.' Now complete.

While fighting an angel, the detonation of a powerful anti-A.T. field causes Shinji and Asuka to switch bodies. As the schemes and plots of Gendo Ikari, his subordinates, and the secret council known only as SEELE begin to unravel and the skies are torn asunder by new angel threats, Shinji and Asuka must find strength and acceptance in each other to ensure the survival of humanity.

Post-Rebuild 3.33 - After narrowly avoiding Fourth Impact, Asuka is left to wander back to the last remnants of humanity on foot, dragging an unwilling Shinji and an unwitting Rei along with her. Shinji slowly comes to terms with Kaworu's death, Rei tries to understand what she used to be in her past life, and Asuka does whatever she can to stay alive for just another day.

The Children face new challenges, but for two of them the worse thing may just be each other. Amidst the pain and despair, outside events quickly spiral out of control.
