Name: Call me Elphie, my friends have started to lately, so why not! I rather like it.

Penname: Well, I've recently taken to going by Elphie. It pretty much started when I became obsessed with WICKED before actually seeing the show or reading the book, and it just stuck. So I was going to use "Elphie" as my penname, but -duh- already taken. So then I went for Aelphaba, the Ozian Saint Elphaba was named for. When THAT didn't work, I tried Saint Aelphaba, just 'cause I love the way Aelphaba looks spelled with an 'A'. Then I remembered the scene in the book where Galinda calls Elphie "Elphaba the Delirious" and Elphaba replies, "Elphaba the Delirious...I like that". Or something to that effect. Anyway, that's the story. Damn, that was a pretty long explanation for a penname.
